Very clean, smelled pleasant (NOT air freshener covering up a foul smell) like genuinely. Smoke free room as well. If I had to fault anything it would be that there was no place with hangers for the nice shirts I ironed.

This place is not a 5 star hotel but is extremely good. Is quiet and SUPER CLEAN. They can improve a few things but honestly is a great place to stay. The size of the room is bigger than a regular hotel room. Is nice and cozy. Stores are very close to this small town hotel.

Property is kinda run down...seems like owners trying to improve. TV has very poor service...couldn't watch without continuous buffering. No ice machine. Beds were comfortable. Ppl beside us were fighting...could hear TV from neighbors on the other side as well

Everything was clean and the TV took some time to master, but I figured it out. I like that I could go to my conference early this morning, and drop the key cards in the drop box. Although there were not any shops or restaurants nearby, I enjoyed visiting Willimantic Main Street last night, only 10 minutes away.

Room must have formerly been a smoking room. Musty odor, probably from the carpet, doors, and other unreplaced surfaces. Not well cleaned around beds. Curtains do not cover windows well. Multiple large dead bugs in the room that show they are not vacuuming well. Bloody fingerprints by the window? This is a motel. The "office" is completely empty except for an attendant behind plexiglass. He was friendly, but the rooms still need significant work to be a comfortable place to stay.

Here’s a polished version of your review: Last night, I stayed at the Chaplin Inn & Suites because my daughter was attending a UConn orientation today. The price was reasonable, and the property had many positive reviews, which helped influence my decision. The staff was friendly, and at first glance the room appeared clean. Unfortunately, there was a very strong odor in the room that was difficult to ignore. It smelled as though the room had not been properly aired out for a long time. The odor made the stay less comfortable than expected. Fortunately, there was a Dollar General across the street, so I was able to purchase cleaning supplies, air fresheners, and a plug-in air freshener to help mask the smell. While I appreciated the friendly service and fair pricing, addressing the room odor would greatly improve the guest experience.
