The beds were extremely uncomfortable. There were little ants crawling over the end table. The breakfast was terrible. It seemed like everything was watered down. The only good thing was that the pool was amazing!

The staff was awesome, but the property is just yucky inside and out. There is a very distinct litter box type smell everywhere. The sheets were not clean. The room was very smelly. The bathroom was very musty. The door to our room was also painted shut so it was incredibly difficult to open. I wish the property owner would provide their amazing staff with a building worth being proud of.

Great value for the price! The room was súper clean and comfortable. Unlike many other hotels, the linens were fresh and didn’t smell of smoke. The breakfast wasn’t fancy, but it had two hot dishes as well as a good assortment of muffins, cereal, waffles, etc. My son and I are in the area twice a year and will definitely stay at the Hawthorn next visit!

The room itself wasn't bad, it was cleanandcomfortable. It's the area that made our stay feel unsafe. Parking is horrible, very tight. Drug deals going on by the dumpster, right out of our window, we saw it all! And the staff, the 1 I dealt with acted like we were bothering her when checking in. She kept saying my card declined, after 20 minutes she finally tells me I need the card I booked with. She had my card and could see it was a different card, but continued to run it. Then my security deposit took a month to be returned and it was only after I called them about it. Place is ok if you're just passing through but anything more, especially if your traveling with the family, spend the couple more dollars and stay elsewhere!

The place a dump, smells like a litter box crossed with a pet cemetery, and stench of burned oil and curry. The room had a coffee maker and toaster in the kitchen, but no outlets, hallways and floors in elevator common are and else where were filthy, looked ceramic and marble were mopped with sewage water. The carpets stained and the entire premises smelled putrid with urine and poop. I came late and prepaid for a few days, my choice was to keep the porch door open all night with the fan on , also had to buy air refresher to mask the stench of FESTERED URINE AND PET DROPPINGS. If you don’t like spiders, I don’t, big spiders in the room, cob webs all over the balcony with huge menacing spiders. Mesquitos are flying and buzzing / bitting all night. For the price being comparable to adjacent properties, I wouldn’t even let a pet stay there. Overall the worst hotel experience I ever had in the distant past!

I took our family here for Gettysburg bike week.. the hotel itself was in a great location but the staff was awful! When we arrived, the man at the front desk was on the telephone. We stood there for 30 minutes waiting on him to be done or someone else to come check us in then the next morning my mother and daughter went down to have breakfast and the lady down there was very rude to my daughter and other people that were staying there. They watched everything you did when you were trying to get food we stayed two nights here and were pet friendly, which was great but we had a room that had a kitchen and we’re not allowed to bring anything up to the room from breakfast downstairs. I’m a bad diabetic and my sugar had dropped in my little girl was going to bring me up eggs and the lady got very mean with her. Another woman was down there going to bring food up for her children and she was very rude to them as well on the day of checkout, I went down to drop off the keys and once again the man at the front desk was on the telephone so I stood there and waited and waited and waited. He then was still on the telephone pull the keys out of my hand was let go. We cleaned up our entire room. It was perfect as like the day we got there and for some reason they charged my credit card for $10 and have no reason why I will not be staying here ever again

Nice breakfast. Had to work a night shift one of the nights so the energy drinks sold in the mini store came in handy. The pool actually had a deep end of 8 feet unlike the 5.5 feet at most hotels. If you're looking for lunch or dinner the Trojan Diner next door is really good.
