“We just did a weekend trip to Leeds and stumbled across this gem on hotel.com. It was the best stay away we have ever had in the UK! The owners were so kind and welcoming, they really do make you feel like you are a member of the family. “This is the most wonderful place to stay. It is on a working farm but very close to York. Catherine was the most amazing host and nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast was cooked to order and couldn’t be faulted. Her recommendation for food was spot on and any questions were answered. “Extremely easy to locate the hotel using the postcode given. We arrived in Skipton rather early and parked in the long stay car park round the back which is £8.10 for 9 hours but free from 6pm- 9am. There is free parking on the side road next to the hotel if you're lucky enough to secure a space. We had a lovely walk round Skipton centre - it's full of independent shops selling gifts, coffee, cakes and fish to name but a few. Great to see also lots of little pubs and banks/ building societies...
