We had the most incredible time at Sofitel. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, the resort is the perfect place to just stop and relax. It's not too big but the perfect size to make the most of it. They also offer activities throughout the day, we did a pizza making class free of charge. The beach is gorgeous but note it isn't completely private. A big shout out to Ramses who helped deliver our pizza making class in English. A huge thanks again to the Sofitel Baru team.

The hotel is amazing and the staff are caring. The only inconvenience we encountered was delays in the golf cart services to get our bags to the lobby and the catamaran having technical issues which meant we arrived via speedboat. The hotel staff helped resolve the catamaran issue quickly and refunded us a portion. Amazing stay overall.

At Sofitel they go more than above and beyond. The service is incredible and they treat you like absolute royalty. The hotel is breathtaking from the moment you walk into the lobby. Loved our stay. It’s definitely a place to go to and stay there since it’s about an hour from Cartagena and traveling back and forth can be expensive. The staff and the service were unbelievable. The food was great, breakfast buffet had a million options BUT I would avoid the food truck at all costs and the sushi restaurant.

This resort was absolutely beautiful. It feels remote and secluded while offering so many activities and delicious dining options that you'll never be bored. We didn't bring our young kids this time, but we noticed there were plenty of family-friendly amenities, including a kids' club, children's pool, playground, and organized activities throughout the day. It definitely made us wish we had brought them along! Breakfast was our favorite part of each day. Sofitel truly thinks of everything—the attention to detail and the exceptional service from the staff were second to none. Every interaction made us feel welcome and well taken care of. We can't wait to come back!

We had an absolutely incredible stay at the Sofitel Barú Calablanca. Traveling with my wife and our young daughter, we were looking for a seamless mix of high-end luxury and family-friendly comfort, and this property delivered on every single front. The facilities are pristine, the views are breathtaking, and the level of service is truly world-class. The staff went out of their way to ensure our family was completely taken care of, making the entire experience effortless and relaxing. Highly recommend this resort to anyone looking for an elevated and memorable coastal getaway.

Spacious, modern rooms, facing the sea. Silent during the night. Massive and delicious breakfast buffet. Staff friendly in all locations. Fair prices for drinks at the beach and diverse food offerings. Only downside is the gravel road of approx. 5km to arrive to the hotel, which makes the travel slightly uncomfortable.
