The Historian Inn is a great place to stay. Very clean with attention to detail. I've stayed here 3 times and will stay again when I am in Gardnerville. It's easy to find and has plenty of parking. The rooms are large. Can't beat it for price and accommodation.

Very conveniently located on Highway 395 not only to Gardnerville, but to Minded and Carson City. Great places to eat within walking distance. I recommend Sharkey's Casino for breakfast and JT Basque Restaurant both right across the street. Lot of good food in Minden like the Pizza Factory.

Very quiet, room was pleasant. Only three minor complaints. The pillows are lumpy and the shower gel dispenser was empty. The television was too small for our eyes, and the instructions to turn on were a little difficult, but eventually it turned on. We would stay again. Its as good as a hotel that charges twice as much. We'll bring our own pillows!

Check in went well, the fella was very friendly. Parking was great. I booked a room on the balcony facing the main road, looking forward to having cocktails on the balcony. That was great, nice afternoon sun. However I would not recommend this side of the hotel, the traffic was very noisy all night. The hotel is very worn, cracked tiles, lousy pillows. The over all room did not seem to be as clean as one might expect. The shampoo and body wash dispenser in the shower was empty except for the conditioner. The small lotion on the counter was half used as well as the small bottle of shampoo. This room was $100. I guess you get what you pay for.

This is a great, walkable downtown location for restaurants, shops, etc. We had a deluxe king suite upstairs, and you will need to use the stairs (ok for us). It was spacious enough, and bed was comfy. Coffeemaker (k-pods) in room, but also lobby coffee, in addition to microwave and refrigerator in room. No breakfast goodies, but you save alot (if there are just 2 of you). A/C is the typical hotel style, but it worked well. We stayed on back side, so we didn't face Hwy 395. Staff was friendly, although we didn’t interact much beyond check in and out. We would stay again

It had rained that day and we were on the second floor. The steps and landing had large puddles. They could have been cleared with one swipe of a push broom. Food places were nearby and had good food.

Very nice stay. No complaints. Basic room but clean, spacious and had all the basics. Very accommodating to bring dogs. As dog travelers know there’s an additional $40/ per dog fee on check in. There’s a great park right across the street for easy dog potty runs.

The room was clean, but decor was dated, eclectic, and spartan. Parking was adequate. Thier website touted good coffee bar with donuts. No doughnuts! Coffee wasn't bad, but wasn't good either. Hardly any choices for coffee sweetner for those desiring it. Staff was polite but offered no help with us wanting a first floor room, and the facility had no elevator. Very difficult for seniors, elders or handicapped negotiating stairs to second floor. Lots of street noise from the bar next door and casino across the street made sleeping difficult.

This is a no-frills rustic hotel that does not offer a lot as far as amazing amenities, but the staff is always amazing, the rooms are clean and fairly quiet and the location is fantastic as it is right on main street in Gardnerville, and next to Heritage Park. The rooms have air conditioning and basic necessities, and there is coffee every morning in the lobby. parking is easy. We stay here regularly and will be back.

Room was clean and organized. Lights were very bright for the areas. Too bright of a white. And the bathroom fan was extremely loud when on without an option to turn it off with turning off the light. Other than that. The hotel was great and very close to food and entertainment as well as the main hwy.
