Delightful boutique hotel in down Carmel. Happy hour with a glass of rose in their gorgeous patio, cozy room with fireplace, and the highlight is the included champagne breakfast with the lovely European style food. The only annoyance is the lack of private parking in an area where parking is quite difficult to begin with.

Cute, cozy, Carmel-style boutique hotel! Friendly staff, great location in the heart of a super special unique town. About 10-15 min walk to the big beach. The hotel and the room had a retro cool throwback vibe to the 1950s/60s ... the style of phone, the moldings, the furniture. Very cool experience. Breakfast was very good and included. My only knock if I had to pick one is there isn't an elevator, and we had 3 huge bags to carry due to our 2 week trip. The bellman helped on the way up (for a nice tip of course) but I did it myself on the way down.

The staff was incredibly good and attentive. The breakfast was delicious as well! The ground floor rooms hear A LOT of foot noise from the rooms above so travelers be aware of this. We will request a top floor next time. Also, the ‘resort fee’ of $40 per day was excessive (not sure what that was really for exactly) especially considering we had to find street parking, but I guess that’s the standard in the area? Overall great experience and we would stay again for sure.
