I thoroughly enjoyed staying here. Its proximity to the train station was appealing to me, but I liked the location for many other reasons as well — close to shopping, restaurants and sights while still being quiet. The staff was excellent and the spa a wonderful indulgence. I was in a suite and loved the huge sofa to relax in!

A wonderful old-world experience of exceptional service and luxury, The hotel is conveniently located to be able to explore Cardiff on foot from that park and castle to shops and restaurants. Our room was beautiful, comfortable and quiet looking out onto an inner courtyard. The spa is also highly recommended as well as their 5* breakfast.

Lovely hotel, ideally situated in Cardiff centre and 5 minutes from train station. Rooms were well appointed - very comfy bed and pillows, a quiet, efficient air con and a great bathroom with shower. Breakfast was excellent - plenty of choice and it was nice to see that local produce was used. Plates were cleared and tables tidied very quickly. All the staff worked hard and were welcoming and friendly. Would stay again.

Very kind, friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast was great. There is no parking on site or even that close, but the staff helped us unload and load our luggage in the little alley and the car park was about a 5 minute walk -- not too bad. The spa had a few issues with scheduling for us, but they resolved the issues. Overall a very lovely hotel that I highly recommend! Look forward to returning!
