We loved this hotel! It was way more than we expected. The food was excellent & menu choices were great. The pub area was lively & fun. The owners & staff went above & beyond to accommodate our every need. The breakfast was outstanding & they have the best coffee. We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone. The town is very well located & a short driving distance to many attractions in the area.

The rooms including the en suite facilities are finished to a high standard. Breakfasts were excellent with a wide choice of items available. The dinner menu also offered a good and varied choice of quality food. Staff were very pleasant and always happy to help. My second stay and I will have no hesitation of staying again

Fantastic hotel, staff were very friendly and welcoming. Only gripe was the mattress was too soft for me, but I would definitely recommend the hotel and stay there again.

All the staff were good and helpful. In particular was Darcie who was so helpful and had great people skills. Coffee machine in the room was nice. Only 1 teabag and zero teaspoons which was the only complaint. Food was large and good.

Valentines get away

We had a lovely one night stay at the Kings Head. As we travelled down we unfortunately had a very late check in but the team were super friendly and gave us a warm welcome on arrival. It’s in a great location for exploring and the cooked breakfast was delicious.

Lively and friendly with good food and drink

one night stay to break up the retrurn from Somerset. The pub is lively and friendly, the food and service were both top notch and the room was almost like new in condition so was very pleasant. The only downside was noisy neighbours who kicked off at 02.00 which wasnt good for a decent sleep but thats not the fault of the hotel just inconsiderate fellow guests. Would recommend the Kings Head which is also very well located within Usk.

Great hotel and pub

We stayed at the Kings Head, Usk for one night on Valentines Day. We were checked in by Adam (I think) upon arrival and he was very welcoming. We mentioned that we hadn't booked a table for dinner but were informed it wouldn't be a problem. The room was very nice - modern and comfortable. The bathroom and shower were gorgeous. Dinner was fantastic, the food delicious and the service very good. Breakfast in the morning was amazing with fantastic coffee! We'll certainly be back!
