The room itself was clean, bedding and towels were all fresh and clean. Both the bedroom and bathroom were a decent size. Great location, barely a 10 minute walk to the city centre. Staff were very helpful both checking in and out.

Parking was an issue but I had a great stay at this hotel. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, and the staff were friendly and always ready to help. Arrived quite late but reception was very friendly and booking in was easy. Nice sized room and bathroom. Room was clean and bed was comfortable. Drinks and biscuits were provided. Very handy location for carpark (NCP) and a short walk to the stadium/castle/city centre. Checking out was easy and quick. We were even given a take away breakfast box. Thank you to Mina and all the team. We will definitely stay again.

What's unique about this hotel? It's uniquely bad. The worst hotel I've been in. They send you a message saying there is parking but when you arrive you are told that there isn't and that the hotel does not claim that there is so I suppose it's 30 quid for the NCP. The lift is out of order, the heat of the corridors is incredible and the rooms are even hotter. No windows, no AC, graffiti in the rooms. Broken everything. People are sleeping with the doors to their rooms open trying to cool down. Feels dystopian. So, so bad

The hotel is in a great location right in the city centre, making it very convenient for exploring the area. The front desk staff were lovely, welcoming, and very helpful throughout our stay. They were the highlight of our experience and provided excellent customer service. Unfortunately, the room itself was very disappointing. It had a strong, unpleasant odour as soon as we entered. The windows could not be opened, so there was no way to let in fresh air. The outside of the window was also extremely dirty, to the point that we had to keep the curtains closed because we couldn’t stand the sight of it. The room was also uncomfortably hot. The only cooling provided was a small fan, which was nowhere near sufficient to keep the room at a comfortable temperature. While the excellent staff and central location are definite positives, the condition of the room and the lack of ventilation significantly affected our stay.

I will start with a big plus. The staff are very helpful and will try to make your stay comfortable, but there is only so much they can do. Our room was so hot as to make it uninhabitable. They did say they had air-conditioning, but in reality it was a glorified fan which used ice to cool the air. After about 5 minutes in a 90 plus degree room, the ice melted. There was garbage on the floor and no toilet paper or toiletries. We booked here because our original booking cancelled on us the morning of, and this was graduation weekend so options were limited. After one night we checked out and found a room elsewhere. Expedia was very helpful in facilitating this for us. Even despite the extreme heat, which was a function of the record heat wave in Europe, this is not a hotel for anyone with expectations of comfort and cleanliness. More like a student budget hotel.

We stayed here because the prices were better than just about anywhere else in central Cardiff for the weekend, so we were willing to forgive a lot, but unfortunately we were still pretty let down. The staff on site were very nice and trying their best, but the facilities (reception, hallways, elevators) are all very rundown and dingy. The room was clean enough to stay in but a lot of wear and tear was very evident on the furniture, with an old battered TV and uncomfortable beds. Also there's no central air and you can't open windows, so it gets stuffy and hot fast. Not the worst hotel I've ever stayed in but I definitely wish I'd paid a bit extra for somewhere nicer.

The room spelt strongly of mould and damp. The show cubicle leaked water all over the floor. The bar was closed at 10:30 when we tried to use it rather than 11:30pm as advertised and no apology was offered room service with a tray charge of £5. The bed was comfortable.

PROS: The room was large and clean, the bed and pillows firm and comfortable, the bathroom clean and functional. CONS: 1) The room was like an oven. I stayed at the end of May, after the heatwave had ended and the heat hit me as soon as I entered the room. There is a large fan supplied, but it simply blew around hot air. No windows could be opened, even just a small crack, There is no air conditioning. The towel rail was throwing out heat in the bathroom. It was extremely uncomfortable. 2) The listing claims the rooms are soundproofed. Then why could I hear the shouting, screeching and raucous laughter coming from the adjoining room through my bathroom wall? 3) The windows have some strange film applied to the exterior, meaning there is no view from any window which, combined with not being able to open the windows at all, made the room feel very claustrophobic. To make matters worse, the film was clearly peeling giving the exterior a very tatty feel.
