Cardiff Sandringham Hotel is in an amazing location! A quick walk to anywhere in the City Centre. The rooms were comfortable, some construction noise during the time I stayed there. However, those aspects are unavoidable at times. Certainly appreciative of the nice staff and location to nearby shops, museums and the castle!

My hotel stay great for the price point I paid. I is very similar to a dorm room style wise and the walls needed some repairs. The staff were lovely and very approachable. My room was quite small but was very functional for getting around town during the day. Would stay again!

This is a cheap and cheerful hotel, manage your expectations and you'll be fine. A short walk from the train station, in the middle of town means the location is great for the price. The hotel is a bit tired but my room was clean, the bed was comfy and the shower strong. Very warm welcome too

Lovely staff and hotel, so friendly and helpful, room was clean and comfortable and right in the main city centre, lots of bars and restaurants close by, was noisy at night with all the bars and clubbers so close but we learnt to close the windows and have the fan on to block it out, would definitely stay again.

Very good value for an excellent location in central Cardiff. I found it a very safe place to stay as a solo traveller, with 24 hour reception and really lovely staff. The accommodation is basic but clean and had everything I needed.

When I first arrived, the receptionist offered to change my room to a lower level one once she saw how much stuff i would have to carry and I didn't even need to ask. Definitely set the expectation, the lovely staff was the highlight of my stay. The bathroom was very large and clean, there's no daily room service but they have staff at hand 24/7 if you need something. Its in a busy area with lots of pubs and restaurants nearby so outside it can get pretty loud but you can't hear anything from inside so that wasn't an issue for me personally and it was convenient to be situated directly in the middle of the city centre. Definitely do recommend a stay there and its fairly affordable so always a plus.

The Sandringham hotel is located in Cardiff city centre which is a good location as Cardiff Castle is nearby and not too far from the National Museum too and from Cardiff Central railway station as well. The hotel staff were very nice and the hotel has a good standard of cleanliness too. Only issue is that the hotel does need a bit of updating in terms of decor and room facilities. Also, although the hotel is in a great location it is also a bit noisy at night as pubs and restaurants etc. are close to the hotel and I did find it difficult to sleep at night because of the noise issue. It seemed to only get a bit quieter after 3am.

The best thing about this hotel is the staff and location (if you want to be close to the Principality anyway). It’s slap bang in the middle of the town centre, and it’s an old ‘traditional’ hotel, so be aware it’s not brand spanking new and deathly quiet… but if you want a friendly hotel, 2 mins walk from the stadium, the castle and the train station, this ticks the boxes… I can thoroughly recommend breakfast at The Welsh House, just up the road towards Cardiff Castle
