Property is in a good area and the lobby and room architecture are very nice. The condo has maintenance issues (Shower in master bath leaks extensively and the doors to the outdoors do not latch properly) and it does not have central heating.

Wonderful stay in a gorgeous apartment. Very clean and well appointed. Location was also fantastic and easily the best in Cape Town. We absolutely love the Green Point area. So many cafes, shops and restaurants within walking distance including my favourite gelato shop in the world next door.

Great lcation, lovely apartment but could be made more homely. The linen quality wasn't great. Basic amentities like salt and pepper, cooking oil, washing detergent could be provided to help guests. There was also a tiny leak from the second bedroom ceiling on our first day. We were not using that bedroom, so it didn't worry us. In general the apartment is spacious and comfortable. We walked daily to V&A and were able to enjoy the waterfront with having ample space to ourselves.

Cosy and contemporary

Very nice short stay in an elegant space. Really enjoyed the convenience of the surrounding area as well, with the Woolworths grocery and all the restaurants and coffee shops literally within a 30 second walk proximity.

Gorgeous suite and superb location

Location in the heart of Green Point is the best in Cape Town. Building had many cute eateries on site and there was a Woolworths grocery right next door as well. Luxurious property that allows you to spread out and get uber comfortable.

Beautiful property in excellent location near everything. Wonderful transportation options available. Beautiful pool and waterfront setting. Also full load-shedding backup in all the WHosting suites, which is so important.

Good and a lovely space , just a couple of niggles , WiFi didn't work , connecting to other people's networks isn't a great solution, Aircon also didn't work but wasn't too hot so not a deal breaker. No apartment manual, but all small things easily rectified.

Be aware that this is not an hotel any more. The rooms have been sold to private owners. Therefore there are no services offered in the hotel (breakfast must be taken outside), not even a welcome desk. My room was an appartment. Cleaned every 2 days and well equiped. hotels.com should be more clear

The property was well located . The concept is good. My apartment 216 needed to be better cleaned. On check in, the apartment was not cleaned to my satisfaction. Fridge had stains if food. Rug was dirty as vacuum wasn't working. Shower was grimmy and sheets werent thw best. There were stains. Over the 8 day stay cleaner came in once, was unprofessional asked for money which i gave her. Cape royal concept is good. I wouls sray again, but it depends on the apartment as they are independently owned which determines the management

Dont expect this to have hotel service i.e daily cleaning, and clean linen. Bathroom fan was making noise. Several flies in living rooms and bedroom. Bedroom linen was not clean. Duvets were thin (cold during winter). Apartment was cold throughout. We spent 1 of out 6 nights and checked out on day 2.

AVOID! Reported MOULD on the bed the 1st night upon arrival.. staff was unable to assist, so had to spend night on the sofa.... Staff "cleaned" the mattress with bleach the 2nd day, but all that was left was a mouldy bed with a strong smell of bleach.... spent the 2nd night on the sofa... Requested the bed be replaced, but this was not done.... spent 3rd night on the sofa... Could not take this anymore & checked out... could not be expected to spend another night on the sofa & sleeping on the bed would have been a health & safety hazard. Over & above all this the apartment itself definitely no "5 star"... very tired with broken drawers, mould (again) in the bathroom & just general disrepair. Despite all this, the hotel REFUSED any refund for the remaining nights.. I had booked 14 nights... it was a "non-refundable" booking, but surely the hotel had some duty of care/minimal standard requirement to its guests?? Expedia, to it's credit, did provide some compensation, but it didn't nearly cover the money lost on this.

Fantastic stay and no load shedding!

Had a fabulous time at the Royale, suites were spacious, clean and well equipped. Plenty to do in both the building and the area and so much within an easy walking distance. And the best part of the whole stay is that there was NO LOAD SHEDDING (rolling power outages). This was the only property during our stay that was not affected and absolutely everything in both the suite and the building worked as normal, so there was no impact at all.
