The hotel was pretty nice but my favorite part was the animals. Raccoons and cats and it was fun to feed them. I love animals..I hope they are still welcome once the place is renovated.

Everything was great except no access to beach due to Seaweed Sargassum in summers, however good thing was Puerto Morales beach was great and is just a 10-15 mins drive. Food was good with something for everyone, the staff is friendly. Overall good value for money. They have enough activities from the resort.

The servers from the restaurants were awesome. All the servers we came in contact with during our dinners were joyful and had a very pleasant and welcoming attitude. It reflected a very hospitable attitude. We were extremely appreciative with Mr. Marco Torres, he was a lot of help with our dinner reservations. He has put together a great team of employees. The food at the restaurants will not disappoint. On the downside, the seaweed was massive. We were not able to enjoy the beach at all. Other than the seaweed issue, our stay at Ocean Coral & Turquesa was great.

just got back from OCT July 17 -July 22 this was my 8th time at this reort ( so you can tell that I really like it ) and I abosoutley love it . I am handicapped this resort is handicapp friendly . I stayed in the Master Suite Ocean View loved it and the past reviews saying bad reviews are totally wrong as far as the seaweed goes yes there is some covering the beach the resort can’t help it

It was a great property and a great time. When you go, please check in with Carlos with "Privilege" he made it a great time and if you do the Privilege rooms the only butler to have is Elizabeth! She is amazing.

The staff at the restaurants were not very accommodating or willing to help. We were a large group and often found reasons not to sit us together (even cancelling a reservation on our last night). Also, while you can't blame the hotel for the sargassum, they really do not try to clean the beach at all. We found other places in Puerto Morelos were swimming was actually possible because the hotels there do clean the beach. The beach at Ocean Coral simply does not exist anymore, which is a shame. Rooms and pools were nice. The ability to rent cars right there is very convenient. I really wanted to love this hotel, but I can't say I'd be back.
