Occidental has another location that we went to last year that's larger Occidental Costa is smaller which me and my family liked. Easier to keep track of everyone in your party and you don't have such a large property to walk to get places..that matters when it's 100 degrees 😜 Rooms were great the a/ c went out and we were moved to another room. Staff is very helpful and nice The restaurants are good and they all have a variety of food as well. Bell boys are super helpful and will keep track of your suitcases in the lobby if waiting to check in or out as you use the resort for everything while waiting for your room or transport after you check out of your room Love this place...other location down the road is great as well just larger

Our first time staying in Cancun we got a great deal on airfare/all inclusive hotel 6 days/nights. Our room was awesome, food was plentiful and very good. Only place that food kinda sucked was the 24 hr snack lounge. Hit or miss w what was there. Shows were great. All n all great!

Beautiful, clean hotel with a welcoming atmosphere. The staff were always smiling and went out of their way to make sure guests had a great experience. The buffet restaurant was very good, with a varied menu each day. We also made complimentary reservations for one night at the Italian restaurant and one night at the Mexican restaurant. While both restaurants were enjoyable, I found the food a little bland for my taste. The pool and beach areas were excellent, with easy access and plenty of space to relax. We also took the ferry to the island, which was a great experience and a nice addition to our stay. Overall, we had a wonderful vacation and would recommend this hotel to others.

A very clean hotel with good food and very friendly staff. The staff continuously walked around with smiles and were very friendly to us, guests, and appeared to have fun amongst themselves. All in all, it appeared they were genuinely happy to work there. The staff kept cleaning the pool side and restrooms during the day, the rooms were cleaned daily and mini bar (included in the all inclusive) was restocked daily as well. Plenty of variety with food, great buffet for all main meals. The à la cart restaurants were OK, not really great as it was rather bland. We ate all meals at the buffet as a result which was great.

As what I consider a value resort in Cancun, all of my expectations were met. The beds were comfortable, the staff was helpful and friendly, the food was average but they do their best to try to make it upscale and the drinks were average. One thing I did not like was that they had zero options, other than water, for drinks not containing fake sugar. All I wanted was a real Mexican Coke made with real sugar and there were none to be found.
