When I saw that Haushostel had only nine rooms, I expected a boutique hotel experience. While shared laundry and kitchen facilities aren't what I’m accustomed to, I decided to give it a try. My double room was clean but extremely basic. Lacking proper window glass and insulation, the noise from the street was unbearable 24/7 – accompanied by relentless thudding, tapping, and banging against my walls, alongside slamming hallway doors and ringing. Setting up a camera at the window only provided temporary relief from the disturbances. Additionally, getting basic advertised supplies during an extended stay was a struggle, completely compromising any sense of privacy and comfort. The situation was so unsettling that even Expedia attempted to step in, but the hotel manager refused to take or return Expedia's calls. I felt like I had fallen into Dante's 10th circle of hell as I felt deeply uneasy throughout my stay. As a solo female traveler, I strongly advise avoiding this property.

Disliked: Staff & service, amenities
Due to a lack of other options, I extended my stay for a second week. Once again, I explicitly declined housekeeping services. However, I was penalized for this by being denied clean linens—a policy communicated to me directly via WhatsApp. Obtaining basic essentials—a single fresh towel, a bath mat, and toilet paper—required raising an issue with Expedia. Furthermore, no additional trash bags were ever provided beyond the initial one in the room's single bin. I was in a room with a window facing the street without glass on one side. Outside, inconsiderate drivers caused severe disturbances with constant noise and exhaust pollution that continued throughout my stay. Inside the hotel, the disruptions were just as persistent. I was subjected to ongoing tapping, thudding, banging on the walls, dragging of furniture, door slamming, and bell ringing from individuals lurking around my room. As a solo female traveler, I never felt like a guest at Haushostel. I was treated merely as an object to be approached, coerced, and extracted from. Consider yourselves warned.
