Great place. Beautiful breakfast. We had a fair bit of luggage so a lift would have been handy.

An older place with a lot of history. Some things could do with updating but room was comfortable and ideal for an overnight stay. Staff were very helpful, the breakfast was excellent, with plenty of choice, and the grounds were beautiful.

Madingly Hall is a fantastic locatio. The building is impressive and the gardens wonderful. The staff were friendly, helpful and customer focused. The small down side of our stay was that it was clear that room cleaning was of a poor standard.

Great place to stay, gorgeous buildings and grounds, very nice and helpful staff. Without a car, it is a little far from Cambridge proper, but reachable by bike or bus. Rooms are quite small, but the price was very fair.

Beautiful grounds and helpful staff. Great location and good value for what you get. At this price point I would say the quality of the breakfast buffet is one of the best I’ve had in the UK. Only issue was the water pressure in the shower was terrible. I don’t think it was a fault with the shower as it worked fine it was just the pressure was really weak. Would have been more of an issue if we stayed longer than 1 night. Overall the rest of the stay was faultless and only giving 4 instead of 5 due to the weak shower.

i always stay here if i can when visiting Cambridge A lovely historic building with gardens and grounds Very good breakfast in delightful dining room Free parking on site Free wifi It is a few miles out from the colleges/city centre but there is easy access to Madingley road park and ride and therefore Cambridge itself Rooms are fairly basic but more than adequate for a short stay/long weekend and surroundings and communal rooms make up for any missing luxury in the bedroom. There is a bar and cafe on site for small meals/snacks/drinks but a pub with food is close by for a larger meal or of course Cambridge itself with plenty of choice. Price seems very reasonable noting comparison accommodation in and around Cambridge.

The building and grounds were magnificent and it oozed history and atmosphere. For the money we paid we were quite happy with accommodation which was basic but clean and had everything we needed. The breakfast was very good also and we would not stay anywhere else if we visit Cambridge again.

Magnificent grounds, the approach on driving towards the Hall is stunning. It's a beautiful historic building with a very pleasant bar with lovely outdoor seating overlooking the grounds open until 10pm. Staff were polite, friendly and attentive. The breakfast was amazing. Lovely full cooked options and lots of fresh fruit with greek yoghurt and pastries etc .. The room and ensuite bathroom was simple but very pleasant and the bed comfortable. There was a slightly musty smell in the room, possibly just the age of the property or the bathroom plumbing, but probably not helped by very hot weather. But it didn't bother us too much and overall we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely return.

The building itself is beautiful. The bed was very comfy. Tea and coffee packs and a kettle available. Plenty of hot water. Quiet surroundings. We walked around the gardens and then walked to the local pub which is in easy walking distance. Breakfast was very good with lots of choices served buffet style. Park and ride into Cambridge is available just up the road and property is very close to the American Cemetery.
