The room was lovely. The hotel is beautiful. We had a room in the actual building not in one of the outbuilding/cabins unfortunately because we were there just at the opening of season. The restaurant and bar were not up yet. Travel to other restaurants is good 10 to 15 minutes or longer. The pool was not open yet of course but during season, I’m sure it’s lovely and the staff was kind and very attentive.

My family and I recently stayed in the cabin at Callicoon Hills. Our stay was from Sunday to Friday. Overall, we do not plan to return to Callicoon Hills. The main issue with the hotel is that it doesn’t seem to cater to guests visiting during the week. The information provided to us on the Callicoon Hills website, as well as by the hotel staff, was inaccurate and misleading. For example, the website highlights several breakfast options available at the hotel, including the restaurant open from 8AM, as well as bagels and other grab and go sandwich options from their cafe. We were also told about breakfast when we checked in on Sunday. On Monday morning we found there was no breakfast available “as an exception” and were assured breakfast would be available the rest of the week. An employee at the coffee bar called “the manager” to confirm that yes, there would be breakfast the next day (Tuesday) and the rest of the week. On Tuesday morning, we were informed there would be no breakfast until the weekend, and no one could explain why we had been told otherwise. We asked them about the grab and go bagels advertised on the website and were told it’s also not available. The cabin is located next to a maintenance garage for the property, leading to frequent golf cart traffic from staff, as well as litter and supplies surrounding the cabin and driveway. There was a mound of burnt sod and timber (filled with nails) in the middle of the cabin parking area which was a hazard.
