The location was right in the middle of town, and was perfect for seeing the sights. The staff at the hotel were very helpful with suggestions of restaurants, things to do, etc. The rooms were old, but clean and comfortable. The continental breakfast, brought to our room in the morning, was a very nice treat. The pool and spa area was great.

The property is in a good location and has a nice pool but relative to its price, I would say the hotel ranks poorly. Lumpy bed, a bathroom that has not been upgraded for many years, no bottled water in the room, no elevator, and only street parking. Very overpriced, and I can not recommend it otherwise.

My sister and I really enjoyed our stay at the Mount View Hotel in Calistoga. The room was small, but the hotel was nice & quiet, even though our room was at the back, near the pool & jacuzzi. At one point, we had the jacuzzi to ourselves both nights, and the pool was nice and quiet with plenty of lounge chairs available. The hotel has a great location, right on the main street. I would stay here again.
