A cozy and welcoming guesthouse in the heart of Giza, about a 15–20 minute drive from the Pyramids and Sphinx complex. Mohamed and his sister, Habiba, were incredibly kind, helpful, and hospitable throughout our stay. This is a guesthouse rather than a hotel, so there is no traditional lobby or common area. Room had a private attached bathroom with shower comfortable enough for two people for a two-night stay. There is no microwave, but the refrigerator and AC worked perfectly. The room and property were clean, and we felt safe and comfortable throughout our stay.
Breakfast was included each morning and was just what we needed before heading out for our busy sightseeing days. We were also provided complimentary bottled water and juice daily.
Mohamed was very helpful in arranging transportation and tours for us. He picked us up from the airport for $25, and arranged a private Pyramids tour for $110, which included a private car, driver, and our English-speaking guide. He also arranged our private day trip to Alexandria with a car, driver, and the same guide. Having these arrangements handled through the guesthouse made sightseeing very convenient.
The highlight was the beautiful sunrise view of the Pyramids from the rooftop. For the price, this is a clean, safe, comfortable, and authentic place to stay with warm hospitality and convenient access to the Pyramids.
