Private Ensuite Room. There's no hangers nor places to hang including in the bathroom. It wouldn't be too comfortable if we stay like 3 nights. However, staff are super nice and welcoming. Without them, I would give 1 star.

The shuttle to and from town was very helpful and the staff are friendly. The beach nearby is beautiful and the walk along it into town is easy. The room itself was clean enough but a bit run down. It was difficult to sleep with people passing by and the blinds didn’t keep the sun out.

The distance to the beach was great, and the food and drinks in the bar next door was fantastic. Very convenient and appreciate that the bar closes at 10pm to allow people to sleep

Fantastic!

Excellent hostel - fantastic facilities throughout with the kitchen, pool, bar, laundry etc, the place is well maintained and my private room was kept incredibly clean throughout my one-week stay. Belonging Beach is literally on the doorstep, and there's a great cafe/restaurant right next door. They also run hourly free shuttle services to/from the town centre which is super convenient. Highly recommend!

Clean and cosy. The bathrooms look quite new, and that may also be because they are cleaned daily. A bit of a walk from the centre of town, but the hourly shuttle buses to and from make things much easier. The beach directly opposite is beautiful. If you're driving to Byron and have a car, staying here is very beneficial, as there is plenty of on-premises parking as well as street parking; where as in town would be more difficult or costly due to metered parking.

Stayed 4 nights and the Private Rooms were great. Very clean and the staff were always attentive. Private room came with aircon and a basin etc, shared bathrooms were ok but the lights were out for the last 2 days I was there. Nice area of Byron Bay and Belongil Beach is literally across the road. Treehouse cafe is next door and this place was my go to coffee stop, great tunes too. Free shuttle bus is very handy to get into town, parking in Byron Bay is a nightmare and a rip off so the bus was great to have. Staff forgot to do my room on one of the mornings but besides this the hotel is very good. *Note: This is a very young hostel and the backpapers I found were very young. If you are looking for an older group of people to stay with then this might not be the place. I had a private room which was ok but if I was to have stayed in a dorm I would have felt out of place.

Overall, I had a good stay. The hostel is very social, the staff are friendly, and the common areas are nice. It’s generally clean, including the shared bathrooms. I stayed in a private room with a shared bathroom, and in my opinion, the private rooms are overpriced and definitely not worth the price. While some of the dorms are nicely located within the property, the private rooms are right by the entrance, with no real view and lots of people constantly walking past. Unless you keep the blinds closed, there is very little privacy. If these rooms were half the price, I would consider them reasonable, but at almost $200 per night, the value for money just isn’t there. I also found the activities offered during my four-day stay a little underwhelming. However, if you’re staying in a dorm and looking for a clean, well-maintained and very social hostel, this is definitely a good option. Unfortunately, I can’t say the same about the value for money of the private rooms. The shuttle into town works well, although it usually only runs once an hour and doesn’t operate late at night.

Private room with hostel vibes

My partner and I spent 4 days after the Christmas holidays in this place in a private room, and we really loved our stay here! As soon as we arrived, the staff welcomed us in a very friendly manner, the check-in took no more than 2min, but they spent around 10min explaining to us all the activities we could do in the area. The hostel runs a free shuttle-bus that will take you to town every hour, or you can decide to do a 20-min walk on the beach which you will not regret (we actually walked every time, as it is a really enjoyable walk, and Belongil is a pet-friendly beach, so you can always play with the dogs who go there for a quick swim). Christina and Sam were very friendly, they offered us to take a couple of paddle boards to the beach for free (3 hour hire or so, but it was totally worth it). There is a restaurant/bar right next to the hostel called Treehouse on Belongil, they offer good pizzas, the place is nicely decorated and play some nice tunes, with a good party-vibe; it's an excellent option if you want to avoid going back to town for dinner on one night. The room itself had pretty much everything a regular hotel will offer, a nicely decorated room, good A/C, clean bathroom/toilets and comfy beds. Will definitely come back to this place in the future and recommend it to anyone who comes to Byron Bay.

My stay was very enjoyable with plenty of advise and help with requests. The place was kept very clean especially the amenities being cleaned three times a day. The free bus service to and from the town was well organised and came in very handy. Over all a well run place.

Lage am Ortsrand und am Meer, ruhiger als im Zentrum. Die Anlage selbst wirkt fast Wie ein Resort; sehr grün und schöner Garten. Angenehme Atmosphäre, alles sehr offen gebaut. Möchte man ins Zentrum ist man allerdings auf den teils unregelmässig verkehrenden Shuttlebus angewiesen, wenn man nicht gut 20 Minuten zu Fuss gehen oder ein Leihfahrrad nutzen möchte. Alles in allem aber ein sehr schönes Hostel, wenn auch nicht ganz günstig.
