This stay was exceptional. It was such a unique experience and really cool location to have this hotel. Beautiful grounds that we were able to walk around and even a delicious steak dinner right at the hotel. The front desk staff was extremely helpful and even ordered the food for us when we checked in..
5 Stars all the way. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
We enjoyed the history of the hotel as a former asylum. There was so much history to explore on the grounds and in the building. Our original stay was for 2 nights but we extended our stay by an extra night to take advantage of the hard hat tour of the rest of the asylum buildings. The building architecture is amazing. We are enjoying our stay.
unique and memorable place to stay. a fully renovated centre-block for the hotel (beautiful) with some slightly spooky, atmospheric buildings adjacent. architecture exhibit on ground floor with history of the place-- engaging!nice restaurant, clean rooms, friendly staff. close to art gallery. free parking. fun place to stay in buffalo!
Everything was unique about it. The stuff from the restaurant and bar lounge were amazing. The food was just perfect. Breakfast was fantastic. I just wish that the hotel would have at least a mini fridge in the room. Otherwise, a real pleasant and amazing property. Can’t wait to go back again with my family.
Beautiful historic landmark in Buffalo . Hotel was filled with history . We took the tour that was offered. Very interesting . Rooms were spacious and very quiet . Great location ! Would definitely stay again .
We had the best nights sleep, so comfortable. You have to sign up for the Sunday history tour! We were in town for a wedding but ended up loving the tour the most. Breakfast was delicious, and just the overall stay was incredible.
Our stay at the hotel Richardson was great. The mattress was comfortable, the decor was classic and modern. The room and entire hotel was clean. The history of the building and mini museum was very interesting. I wish we had thought to purchase tickets for the architectural tour ahead of time.
The hotels location is close to Delaware Park, the Martin (Frank Lloyd Wright) house, and great shopping and restaurants.
The historical building was fantastic and its location is very convenient to showing, restaurants, attractions, and lovely neighborhoods. Would definitely stay here again!
A beautiful hotel and a fantastic place to stay. The rooms were spacious, and the on-site lounge was excellent. However, the room was not as clean as I would have expected, as there were a few hairs left on various surfaces. Additionally, the shower drain appeared not to have been checked before our stay, causing the shower to back up and flood the bathroom.
The helpful staff. The cleanliness of the place. The promity to interesting places.
Very beautiful
, hotel. Ample parking.
I
Would definitely come back.
I’m obsessed with this hotel- and the fact that it’s definitely NOT haunted, but stunning, tranquil, and perfectly located so that neighboring attractions are easy to get to.
Take the tour when you stay (only offered on Saturdays and Sundays) so that you can hear about its rich history AND see the closed off portion of the former institution.
I would go back here for another long weekend in a minute!
We loved learning about the historical significance of this property. The architectural team did a great job of restoring it and envisioning it as a hotel. Our room was spacious with high ceilings. The staff was helpful. My only suggestion would to have bottled water in the rooms for guests.
We really enjoyed our stay at The Richardson Hotel. It is an extremely unique property, and I wish that we had more time to explore it. Our room was very clean and comfortable. Staff were very friendly. The only downside was our breakfast. We waited a long time for our food, and it wasn’t very good. It appeared that they were very short-staffed in the dining room. It was the morning of big Pride Parade however, so maybe people called in sick? Anyway, I would definitely stay there again, but I would go out for breakfast.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Richardson Hotel. The room was clean and the staff was very friendly. The history of the hotel is very unique and interesting. I would highly recommend staying there.
My stay was like living in an exclusive European castle. The property near arts and The Knox Museum.
Parking is close, the hallways and halls are wide, well lit and filled with real art and paintings.
There was even nooks and sittings areas in each great hallway to sit with friends or family. The room was super quiet and everything was new and comfortable.
A memorable stay.
