“We used to be regulars at Tre Ysgawan but never again. The entire vibe of the place has changed, there were renovations going on, the staff were not as friendly, and we were put in a room over the main bar so we didn’t get any sleep until it closed which we were promised it would and it didn’t. In the spa we were always offered a drinks service before but not this time. I don’t know what changed but this isn’t the same place.”

“We stayed here recently for 4 nights. The whole area of Amlwch is slightly run down (like many places nowadays) but the Dinorben arms is the beating heart of the community- supported by locals for food/drinks. The breakfasts and the evening meals are freshly cooked always hot & the food is simply superb. You will not find a breakfast or any food better for the price anywhere- the drinks were excellent & reasonably priced too. It's a proper old fashioned pub/hotel run by a family including 3...

“I feel quite sad for this B&B. the hosts are excellent and the establishment is also very good. The evening meal was tasty. Everything in the control of the hosts is done perfectly well. However, the local water infrastructure appears to be having problems at present in Holyhead, since the very dry Summer and there was no cold water on the last morning. Must be a nightmare for the hosts. I hope the local water company sort this out quickly or it could damage the Holyhead tourist industry.”

“Excellent location, parking spot outside the property, brilliant views from the balcony, nice touches by owner, wine and milk in the fridge, Welsh cakes on the dining table, 2 bathrooms. Stairs a little steep, so be aware of that when booking”

“Disappointed that TV didn't work, nor was there a radio. Also room didnt have a lock apparantly as the room was designated as a fire escape. The good points were the breakfast and cleanliness and bed comfortable.”
