The Three Cocks Hotel was an interesting facility. We arrived at about 6:50 pm, 10 minutes before end of check-in, but there was a note on the counter with the room key for self checkin. Odd process with nobody at the desk, the key to the room left out and no form of security at the front door.
The hotel was clean, comfortable and quiet, which we appreciated. A very rustic hotel, with very uneven floors, sagged support beams, rickety wooden front door and door upstairs.
Breakfast was ok, but very over priced given that they had far fewer options than were provided at all of our other stays at B&Bs and Inns.
When we booked, the information describing the hotel included a claim about a restaurant next door. When we arrived, we found that the restaurant was closed and has been for a long time. It also appeared that the hotel owners also owned the restaurant, so the information should have been updated immediately.
