Nice motel well located. The hotel is a little old, but it is okay. Only thing to mention is that Expedia lists the hotel as pet friendly whereas there is a sign at the front desk saying “no pet allowed”. Fortunately they made an exception and accepted us w/ our dog as we booked the room w/ Expedia, but this motel/Expedia listing discrepancy needs to be resolved by Expedia.

Outside appearances are deceiving. Interior was clean and straightforward, if dated. Certainly some building maintenance is needed, but overall the room was great, comfortable beds, water is HOT! Watch out. Staff were available, helpful, friendly and knowledgeable.

We had a wonderful stay at the Charles River Inn. The hotel was extremely clean, well-maintained, and felt very welcoming from the moment we arrived. Our room was surprisingly spacious, giving us plenty of room to relax and spread out comfortably. The location was another big plus—close to many attractions, restaurants, and everything we wanted to see while visiting the area. If you're looking for a clean, comfortable, and conveniently located place to stay, I would definitely recommend the Charles River Inn.

I traveled with my 7-year-old son. The area was safe, and had a great park with playground down the road. McDonalds and iHOP are right next door! We were able to drive downtown for aquarium and museum of science quickly and easily. Room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Just right for us! Thank you!

While it is conveniently located close to the ball park and nothing was particularly horrible, it is well worn and in need of some updates on the property. The bathroom needs significant updates but fairly clean and the hallways and general condition of the building is clean but worn and dated. This is not a bad review but a general observation meant to inform, the price is significantly lower than other locations and it should be expected there would be some areas that need updating based in the price alone. Would I stay there again, if pricing was the only consideration I can say yes if not then I would stay elsewhere.

Had a very nice stay at the Charles River Inn. Friendly staff. They are conveniently located off the main route into Boston and only a 5 min. drive from BU. There is ample parking and a McDonalds and ihop are within walking distance. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. It's an older building, so there is no elevator. Shower water pressure is exceptional. I would stay there again, whenever I'm in Boston.
