This is a GREAT place right on the water and walking distance to everything. Staff was helpful and friendly and the room was comfortable and clean and we had a nice big balcony. Would highly recommend staying here.

The property was a great location, centrally located within walking distance to everything and right on the water. I would definitely book a room with an ocean view it’s absolutely worth it and has the most incredible views! Loved the tavern on site too! The bartender was the best, very friendly and they had a great happy hour!

Had a harbor side room on second floor with patio & great view; loved it. The bartender in their restaurant was fantastic—great service and personable. When we checked in we encountered a very terse front desk employee. Very impatient and not friendly. Bed mattresses were extremely hard & painful to sleep on. Made our own adjustments. Again front desk not helpful.

Definitely was not what I expected especially what I saw in the photos online. In fine print somewhere was there was only parking for one car at the inn and upon arrival I found that out. They do offer extra Parking, but it’s off property about a 10 minute walk or so. the staff was helpful with parking and keeping my parking space throughout the day/night. It’s a nice inn to stay at for three nights maybe but no more than that In my opinion. I did love that it was near everything in Boothbay within walking distance.

The hotel is in the most ideal location. It’s an easy walk to all restaurants and shops, and being right on the waterfront with all the boats couldn’t be more perfect. Every seat in the dining room has a wonderful view. Highly recommend and would stay there again!

This is an older coastal hotel. We really enjoyed our stay here! It is extremely convenient for dining and shopping. We boarded a whale/puffin excursion just across the parking lot. Parking was convenient. I would certainly stay here again and am looking forward to doing that!

So, number one this hotel is in the best location with the best views. It is clean and that’s all you should really expect from this place. The bathrooms leave much to be desired. Very small. Low water pressure and our tub/shower didn’t drain. Don’t book this place with great expectations. Book it for the location and the view.

The hotel is right in the heart of everything! I parked my vehicle and never had to use it again because everything is walkable. The view of the harbor from my balcony was unbelievable! My room was comfortable. The staff was very friendly. Parking is convenient.

My wife and I first stayed here in the 80's. For a while, we came once a year. We hadn't been for about 12 years, so we decided to go back to Boothbay to see what changed. The town is still beautiful, but it did have a little different feel to it from when we first started going. The hotel is in a great location, in the center of town, overlooking the harbor. It is now owned by The Lafayette Hotel Group. The full service restaurant that they used to have is now more of a bar/lounge, where you order food(limited) at the bar. The people were nice and the food was decent, though. We do miss being able to have breakfast in the morning. If you have never been to Boothbay, we still recommend going, and The Fisherman's Wharf is a great hotel. It is more of a sign of the times that places have to cut costs, in order to survive. I am sure Covid also has a lot to do with the changes.
