This property is in the heart of town convenient to everything.
The breakfast was limited and not particularly satisfying.
Parking was good as long as you got there early.
We had a wonderful time here! We had the Captain’s room and thoroughly enjoyed the view. I enjoyed my early morning coffee on the porch and then had a wonderful breakfast. I hope I get back here again someday!!
We spent 2 nights and had a wonderful time! The innkeepers are super nice and accommodating and the breakfast both mornings were to die for. We would highly recommended!
What a wonderful place to stay. The room was charming and quiet. The view from the room was lovely and the host family were fun and made our stay very enjoyable. The breakfast was fantastic. We would gladly stay there again any time were are in the area.
Captain Sawyers is an historic bed and breakfast in Booth Bay Harbor. The owners are a wonderful couple who aim to please. The property has its limitations since it is very old but that is what gives it its charm.
The breakfast were delicious and varied. The baked goods were creative and greatly appreciated.
The stairs up to our room were very steep but expect for a home built in the 1800’s.
Keith was gracious in offering to bring our heavier bags up the stairs (and back down).
We loved the 2nd floor balcony complete with Adirondack chairs and a great view of the harbor.
The rooms were small but the beds were very comfortable. The bathroom was also small but adequate.
The property is at the edge of downtown but very close to all of the activity. It is steps from the harbor, restaurants and shopping.
I highly recommend Captain Sawyer’s Bed and Breakfast.
Perfect location for hanging out in Boothbay for a couple of days. Step out the front door and you are a few houses from all the shops. Easy to get on a tour boat and restaurants were great!!! Breakfast like all of the other reviews was amazing and worth the stay. Quiet and relaxing!
Quick couples getaway to Boothbay Harbor to primarily go to the Botanical Gardens and visit the trolls.
We decided to splurge and stay in town for the convenience of not needing to find parking and just enjoy walking Boothbay.
Captain Sawyers made this very doable.
We were able to explore and walk to dinner both nights easily.
The room was small but we were first floor with a nice view and easy access to the nice porch.
Coffee and water were always out. Additionally, freshly baked cookies each day!
Breakfast was very nice, alternating between a more savory and more sweet offering.
The hosts were lovely and available to offer suggestions for possible things to do and places to capture photos.
Although we like to stay in many places in Maine, I would definitely return if we decided to stay in Boothbay again.
In the heart of Boothbay Harbor. Jo made an incredible breakfast every morning, and was AWESOME with my wife's allergies. It's a B&B, so its an old building, but had everything we needed!
The location of the property is excellent. Nice to have private parking at the property because parking in Boothbay harbor is a nightmare! The staff is very helpful and kind. The room size was small and for the price we paid I expected a larger room. The breakfast offerings were fantastic!
It was fantastic. Tira and Keith are outstanding hosts. Their breakfast is over the top. The room that we had (with a king size bed was great. The location wonderful. You walk to everything, no parking headache!!
If we ever go back to Booth Bay we definitely would stay again in this beautiful B&B and the lovely couple with their cute baby
The room was clean. The bathroom is outdated, but functional. The hosts offered breakfast and it was very good. They were also very friendly and gave helpful suggestions for places to go and eat. On-site parking is a big plus!
Beautiful B&B located at the quiet end of the busy waterfront and convenient to everything we were interested in. Free parking was greatly appreciated. Breakfast was delicious, plus homemade cake and cookies as special treats were wonderful. Our hosts, Keith and Ciera, were welcoming, thoughtful, and very helpful--just terrific!
