“Anniversary Stay at Bannisters Port Stephens We stayed at Bannisters to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The welcome was warm, and our Luxury Suite was clean and comfortable. However, we had hoped for a special gesture, such as champagne or flowers, to mark the occasion. Dining at Julio’s and Rick Stein was delicious but expensive, with disappointingly slow service. “El lugar es maravilloso. El desayuno muy bueno. Las camas súper cómodas. Un poco ruidoso (máquinas, circuitos de agua, etc.). Horarios de atención de algunos servicios (como en toda Australia…). El restaurant (fuera del desayuno), no vale la pena. Excelente ubicación. Hay playas impresionantes muy cerca. Hay buena oferta de restaurants y un shopping completo.”

“Our room was compact but was clean, well maintained and had everything one needs for a short stay. The fridge, toilet, shower and extractor fan in the bathroom, as well as the air-conditioner in the room all worked well. The mattress was comfortable. The staff allowed us an earlier check in. There's a pizzeria close by that does brekky and opens every morning at 7am. A nice stay in a pretty place.”

“A convenient overnight stop when transiting up the M1, with minimal off highway driving. A dated motel but it has a clan room, comfortable bed with fresh linen feel and easy parking. The gentleman running the place was super welcoming and helpful with late checkin. New a/c installed.”
