“Lovely location up a very narrow one track road! Room was lovely. The inside of the courtyard is done up in a lovely way and having a seating area inside and outside of the room (we were in the dairy) was lovely. Lovely little shop, nice cafe. Only downside was our shower was broken and was scorching. The owner was super quick to respond but as we were only staying one night, they couldn't fix it before we left. There was a shower block nearby for the camping area though to use.”

“We had a very comfortable stay. The room was very clean, the breakfast made to your order with additional cereal and juice available. The staff were very friendly and concerned about our needs. Car parking was provided at the back. The location was within walking distance from the town centre pubs and restaurant as well as next to a big Tesco. Perhaps the TV was a tad small. ”

“The Village Inn was the perfect place for a stopover while travelling further south. Ideally located a short distance from Northallerton. Large car park, restaurant with a really good menu choice and very reasonably priced. The room was extremely clean and comfortable with heating you can control yourself. Powerful shower and very hot water. Breakfast was great, with choices of full English, Vegan, cereals etc. I would highly recommend the Village Inn to everybody looking for somewhere to stay...

“Gorgeous looking hotel. Already lovely but excited to see it when their plans to gain a 4th star come to fruition. My only qualms are rather thin walls to the next bathroom (you can hear the next rooms shower power unit) and the ventilation (weather was low 20s but room got full sun and with no air con it was very hot, even with windows fully open). Otherwise, tasteful decor, a really nice restaurant with super food and a beautiful location.”

“There was plenty room to park and the staff were welcoming and polite. Having booked a superior room we were disappointed that we had been allocated an attic bedroom with a small very window. Although the room itself was quite large the plaster and paint work was in need of some restoration. With regards to breakfast, it was ‘over complicated’ it would have been much easier to have a menu and then choose what you want at the table. The food itself self was too fancy just serve good quality...
