The best part was the helpful the lady at the front desk. The hotel was easy to acess on the first floor for loading and unloading bags and 2 young children. The place needs to finish their renovations though to make things better.

This was our 2nd stay. I chose the Sandman in Blue River, because its half way between Edmonton and home. It is very clean and cozy, room was large enough and I highly appreciate the option to psrk right by the room, it makes for very easy unpacking and packing. There is lots of free parking, and easy access to Yellowhead highway, although we didnt hear any noises. Staff very attentive and kind. Blue River is a cute little town, the gas station is very well stocked. Unlike last year, there were almost no mosquitoes this time

Room was clean and beds were comfortable. Internet pictures were of a new, modern room in a hotel. Actual was a very dated room in major need of updating. Old smell was difficult to take, Hard to trust the Sandman chain for any other locations.

Manager was on duty and was very polite and did everything possible to help u enjoy your stay. Room only had one facecloth and one hand towel, he said all rooms are to have 4 towels and 2 facecloths and immediately got more of everything and said he was very sorry about it. As I said the staff were very accommodating and the stay was great. I will be staying there on all future trips to Alberta Thanks again

For a quick night stay as we passed through, it was ok. Our room was missing it's security locks (the frame of the door had been ripped off along with the top flip lock) so we weren't super keen on that but we knew we were only there for one night. The inn is obviously undergoing some renovations, which they noted on entry to excuse some of the mess. Our view out our door was garbage bins and kitchen mess from the closed restaurant which wasn't awesome, but again small town inn that we were just passing through so good enough for a night.

The beds were incredibly comfortable and we had a great sleep. There is no longer a restaurant at the hotel so finding breakfast or supper is a little more challenging. The Food shack down the road did offer some good grub. I did find the room smelled of stinky feet and suspect the carpets in the rooms have not been cleaned in a long time. But if you are just looking for a great sleep, this was a perfect stop.

Unexpectedly needed to stop for the night in Blue River and had a wonderful stay! The lady at the front desk was an absolute delight, a ray of sunshine and so helpful. They accomodated my cat and we had a lovely stay! If I ever am in Blue River again, I will stay here again.
