A perfect location with everything you need. This is our second time at Beach House. This year we stayed in The Gables building where the pool is located. We preferred this building over the main hotel because the rooms were much bigger. Great memories and hope you come back!

Cute, boutique hotel in a great location. 10 min walk from the ferry to arrive/depart on the island, and a solid restaurant for breakfast, lunch, and dinner with great views. As a hotel guest, you get free coffee each morning (that actually tastes good) which is a nice perk. As you can tell from the pictures, the rooms are very very small and no frills. Worth staying here!

We had room 130 - top floor, ocean-view, It was quiet, the A/C worked like a charm, we got into the room early (huge surprise) and had plenty of space to spread out with our coffee in the morning around the property. Our dinner server was SUPER friendly - even though she was seated about 10 parties at once! (Reddish hair). Overall, a great over-nighter.

We had a great stay at the Block Island Beach house. Loved sitting on the front porch in the morning with a cup of coffee and sitting on the beach with complementary beach chairs and umbrellas. Although the room was small, it was super quaint, and the bathroom was immaculate. We also enjoyed the oceanview. We will definitely return!

Really nice hotel. Had an ocean view room that was a little smaller than expected, but luckily we spent most of the time exploring. We will gladly book the balcony room next time! Lovely staff, great restaurant on premise, and there is a 2 bars you can order from near the outdoor lounge area.

Location, clean and staff was nice . We stayed in the gothic ( I think that’s the name)house , just down the street. Still nice and quaint! A few inconveniences like a wine cooler for a refrigerator, no microwave, dead bugs on window treatments and no counter space in bathroom but would still recommend!

BIBH was amazing for our first visit to Block Island! We stayed in the Gables and had a beautiful king suite. Unfortunately the pool was not ready for use, we would have enjoyed using that. The private beach area was really nice, shoutout to the beach staff that quickly set up complimentary loungers and an umbrella for my pregnant wife and I. Good food and drinks on the beach deck as well. We would definitely stay again.

Staff courteous and helpful. The Beach House is run down, even more than when I visited in 2025. It’s part of the charm. However, I had three guest rooms, and one of them a king suite, the bathroom ceiling was falling apart there was mold on the ceiling as well. Light bulbs were burnt out as well. Couch was stained, worn, and not comfortable. Additionally there were never any beach towels available when e asked for them. It’s a wonderful location, but I think they I’ll stay elsewhere next year due to the property conditions.

For the price, understanding that it is a summer resort Island. But the room they showed us in October was beautiful compared to the sparse room we were in. Steep stairs to our room, no coffee in room, no complimentary breakfast. We have been coming to the Surf Hotel through all the owners for at least 40 years.We will not be coming back.

Do not stay here. Honestly, it’s cute and aesthetic, but not worth the price at all. I’d just go for a drink or sit at the Surf. There are way better places to stay. Reasons: - the staff (most, not all) were insanely rude - the floor of our room was sandy as were the sheets so was it even cleaned!? - no lock on the lobby bathroom door - not accommodating with early check in, we were told we’d receive a text when the room was ready we just so happened to walk by at 2:30pm and our room was ready early & they hadn’t told us - there was no hand soap in our bathroom and the other bottles were almost empty Just overall the hospitality wasn’t there.

There was a beautiful view of the water, when sitting down for a meal or relaxing in their cute outdoor seashell lounge. However, the actual beach was not picturesque. I found the description of this space to be misleading, as I was very disappointed that the “chairs, loungers, and umbrellas” included in my service fee were a moot point due to the dirty beach. I was embarrassed based upon my selection of this specific hotel with instant beach access. Instead we went elsewhere and paid for chair rentals and had to buy overpriced beach towels. The hotel itself was older and in need of repairs and renovations. Hallways smelled a little musty - the place didn’t have that “just cleaned” hotel aroma. The second story floorboards felt a bit slanted when exiting the wooden staircase to get to our room. Water damage on the walls, specifically around the sprinkler. Hole in the wall behind surfboard (leaning on wall) and surfboard not attached to wall mounts. Staff were nice and accommodating with holding luggage.
