the whole hotel was poorly run , the building itself is very poorly maintained and in desperate need of a complete refurbishment , the one and only lift is so slow it was quicker to walk from fith floor to the ground floor . the one good thing was the help yourself all you can eat breakfast , the lady who checked me in was very good and i was checked in within minutes . overall a very disapointing stay and will not use again

Check-in was lovely. Ross was very welcoming and friendly. The hotel has so much potential. Good entertainment. Friendly staff. The only thing that lets the hotel down is the standard of the rooms. The rooms are smelly, old dirty stained carpets, dusty above bed, bathroom dirty, had no soaps in dipensers. Mould around bath taps. Etc. For a one night stay - we made do. The sheets and towels were clean. This hotel could be so much more!

Family Room was very spacious , no toilet paper due to house keeping staff shortage informed through reception staff who supplied same mentioned . All staff we met appeared very polite and helpful . Despite hearing the contrary, found everything absolutely fine, my room was clean, staff were excellent, buffet breakfast had enough choices in my opinion. OK, so the tea bags in the room were not very nice & the communal decor could do with a bit of modernisation, but that’s trivial & didn't affect a positive review.

Very basic…no room housekeeping, clean towels and no replacement tea/coffee etc.. at breakfast, even though the food was adequate and the staff were helpful the restaurant and tables were bleak …more resembling a canteen than a restaurant. However our main complaint is that we were staying at the hotel in order to attend an 80th birthday party in the ballroom. Part way through the party there was water falling onto the stage and onto the band’s equipment which meant that the hotel instructed us to evacuate the ballroom (300 guests were in attendance) and therefore the party was terminated.

Everything was just ...Ok. Rooms reasonably clean but nothing more, curtains hanging off, view of the back yard and load of roof tops. Staff ok, some polite and helpful some moody. Entertainment looked ok but son autistic so doesn't like the noise so didn't attend. Just walked through. Entrance also used by smokers, not great. Lift options abysmally. Stayed to right of reception, 2nd floor, 1 obvious available lift fitting 4 people at best and covering 5 floors. No indication of any others nearby. Pool costs extra. Don't recall that being advertised as such. Didn't eat at hotel so can't comment.

Room was dated but clean and very spacious. Hotel itself is big my children enjoyed staying here. Lady on reception was very helpful for check in and when we asked questions. We also managed to get a later check out with price being very reasonable. We didnt get breakfast as hotel was too busy.
