First time staying here with my partner and it was so beautiful. I was not expecting the hotel being right next to the water, such a fantastic view with a fire pit! Definitely will be coming back here again.

I was very pleased on our stay at the Big Bear Frontier. We stayed in the “motel” side and though the walls were thin, the view was great. I loved the fire pit area, very well maintained. You can tell that the renovations to the place are thoughtful and caring. I would love to check out the cabins on my next visit. The room was very clean. Loved the air conditioning and the “fireplace” under the TV. Just two notes, pillows could be better, ended up getting some at Marshalls and a few more towels would have been good. On a side note, for some food and beverages, The Bear Trap is a quick walk and has excellent ambiance and a fun group that works there. We loved it so much, we went twice!

The room was super clean and a/c worked very well. The lake was right there with a dock . Fishing was excellent. The only thing that was a minor issue was the fire pits don’t turn on until 8 pm ( should be more like 7 ) Also the grills got very little propane so it took a while to cook . Otherwise it was great . Will stay here again.

The lady at check in was so sweet. It was a really easy process. The property is in a great location. The construction going on wasn't ideal but that's just bad timing. The only complaint is that the fire pit near our rooms didn't work. We mentioned it on the first day and they said they try to have maintenance look at it but it was never fixed during the 4 days we were there. We happily return here.

Request a room upstairs, request a room upstairs, request a room upstairs. Despite an amazing location, remodeled rooms and amazing stay, my only complaint is how thin the walls are. We go to bed fairly early but people upstairs stayed up and walked around and played music until 2am. It’s not their fault but I would request the room upstairs if I planned to stay again “also request a fan because it’s wayyyy too quiet and you hear everything!!!! But again, it’s a beautiful location, beautiful rooms and for the price, I’d book again

We chose this hotel for the location. And it did not disappoint. We walked to the village, the marina to rent a kayak, alpine slides and several restaurants. We knew ahead of time about the construction and the pool being closed. So I did not account those things into my review. We stayed in the hotel portion with a queen bed. It was clean and comfortable. Although we didn’t use them, I liked the option of the fridge and microwave in the room. We did hear quite a bit through the doors/walls, but mostly outside of quiet hours (they do provide earplugs!) And we utilized white noise. The staff in the office were welcoming and very helpful. We look forward to coming back next summer to see the completed upgrades.
