“The double room was clean & fresh but the 'standard' size double bed does not compare well with the more usual 'queen' size provided in hotels in this price range. The staff were brilliant ambassadors for the hotel - Maisie & Jenny in particular - always attentive, always happy to engage with guests, always thinking ahead to anticipate the needs of their guests. “AVOID THE HOTEL VERSION OF A SUPERMARKET SELF SERVICE TILL. No staff AT ALL on site. You’re sent a code to get in. The room was horrid. Broken bed, rips in curtain. Leaking toilet, broken toilet seat and sink plug. Heavily stained carpet. I ARRIVED but if you needed to speak to someone, you had to ring a number. It is well located in the centre of Beverley, across the road from the stunning architecture of St. Mary’s Church and 10 minutes walk to the magnificent Minster. “Excellent location for the racing - stayed 3 nights in total which included parking. It was a little run down but very good value for money. Had microwave, kettle and fridge in the room, with tea coffee sugar and milk. Room was clean, a little run down in places with marks on the wall etc, windows a little dirty, but nothing overly bad.
