Property was a traditional motel style accommodation. Bed was comfortable, rooms were relatively spacious and nothing was messy or dirty, however I probably wouldn't rush back. The shower was inconsistent from a temperature stand point, with a broken shampoo dispenser as well. I will acknowledge additional amenities were provided in its place but it left the shower feeling less than pristine. Breakfast was advertised as an option to order on the welcome information but there was no slips to actually order the breakfast. Lastly I was frustrated to find the fridge wasn't turned on, so while long life milk and water were stored there, they were not cold, nor were the additional items stored in the fridge before anyone realised.

This place is a disgrace - photos to prove it which are being sent to Bendigo City Council for the attention of their health dept/inspectors. The only reason we stayed (only after we cleaned surfaces and micro wave and getting 'clean' sheets) was because a refund was refused and we had an early start the next day - too late for us to find an alternative.

Room was clean but dated. Bathrooms really need an update but it would be a huge job. Good value overall and location is great. Friendly quick check in,

The room was small and cramped. The shower was small and had a large step up to get into it and no shower curtain which made the floor wet and slippery. I was not informed that the room was upstairs which is a problem for my daughter after operation. Owner never offered to change to downstairs room. Said they were full but I question that from what I saw. Dishes were dusty and no dishwashing liquid was provided. Only one toilet roll for two people for three days.

What a complete rip off. A group of colleagues and I stayed at the Oval whilst we attended the Australian Sheep and Wool show. Being that there was such a large event on in town the owner has decided charging $400+ per night per room was acceptable. What we got for this exorbitant price was a worn out, dirty, uncomfortable hotel that for the 4 days we stayed DID NOT SERVICE OUR ROOMS! $400+ PER NIGHT NO SERVICE. This hotel is 1 star, do not stay here!!

Very noisy location. Older motel which has been sorry of renovated. Mattress rolled into the middle. Could be cleaner. They're trying hard but the price was exorbitant for the facilities supplied.

Very comfortable bed, shower is amazing with good pressure, will admit the parking is a little scattered BUT! It works for them When it comes to the TV you get your major 5 but that's it, I suggest bringing a Chromecast or fire stick Amazing stay, 100% will stay again

Was a great stay. Even though an outdated motel the room was clean and tidy and had everything we needed. Great heating for the cold nights. Only down side was the road noise early in the morning.

GOOD things: -Check in was quick & staff friendly. -Facilities are good with Electric blankets on bed excellent. Toaster & microwave very good.Lovely hot shower. Things that need improvement: -No shower curtain in room 12 so water went onto adjoining toilet floor. -It was a very cold night and heating took a while to kick in when we first arrived. -Bathroom has fixed louvre windows & cold air comes in. Not ideal.

Property, although very old, was surprisingly great. Room was relatively small but all facilities worked perfectly. King bed was very comfortable, big TV (only with local channels) was good and easy to operate. Hot water was almost instantenous in the shower with good pressure. Enough room for a couple of nights stay at a property of good value close to both performing arts theatres in Bendigo and city restaurants. :-)

Positives: The room has kettle, cutlery, plates and bowls etc, mugs, glasses, mini fridge and microwave. No stove or pots/pans. Also has a TV and reverse cycle air con. Lots of brochures for local dining. Beds were comfortable with plenty of bedding. The room decor is colourful and simple. Price point was very good! Negative: The room was NOT clean. So much dust etc behind the side tables and beds, we were sneezing and all feel congested. The towels were larger in size, but are very well worn. Parking was convenient (right outside or room), but they have a parking space for one of the rooms (28) that almost completely blocks the entry and exit to the parking lot. It was very hard to get the temperature right for the shower, when you adjust it so that it's not burning hot, there is no water pressure. The water in the bathroom sink either comes out full burst, splashing everywhere, or not at all and will go between spurting out the water then shutting off. There is a LOT of traffic noise at night with trucks etc going by.

The staff at the hotel were polite. The room had everything that I needed. But the room was cramped. I slept on the side of the bed next to the sofa. It had an extra cover, as the cushions underneath were stained. This cover was left unfixed, so the strings were left hanging by the sofa. When I was getting out of bed, because this sofa cover was not fixed, I sometimes trips over the dangling ends. Especially as there was only a small amount of room between the bed and the sofa. About 8 inches.
