very near Forbidden City and main shopping areas, tons of shopping, entertainment, food options. The building was renovated based on an old building, as a result, the facilities, layout, etc. are just acceptable.

Great location!

My husband really enjoyed our stay in Beijing. Hotel Kapok is centrally located within walking distance to shops and restaurants. About a 30-60 minute drive to PEK (depending on traffic) and 60-90 minute drive to the Great Wall Mutianyu. The hotel breakfast was really good and had a variety of options. Staff was helpful and friendly!

A conveniently located hotel that could be better

Hotel is in a good location near Forbidden City and Wangfujing, although nearest subway is 15-20 mins walk. Free soft drinks in mini-bar is a plus. Room is spacious with a large closet and a attached small bamboo garden patio that you can sit outdoors and relax. Bedding is firm and comfortable. Overall impression is that the hotel looks dated and not well maintained as one may expect from seeing the photos at the Hotel.com website. Room is not very clean as we found hairs around the wash basin. Had to be very careful taking shower as water may easily overflow out of the shallow shower tray area into bathroom.

Hotel Kapok is located at a very convenient location. Easy to hail for a cab. There is a convenient store just beside the hotel. Turning left from the property’s entrance, 10-15 mins walk to Forbidden City main entrance. Turning right, 10 mins walk to Wangfujing Street. There are plenty of eateries around the vicinity too. I stayed in a family suite (60sqm). Windows can be opened. The only downside of the room are the lightning which can be very dimmed at night and quite dusty in the room. Hope the hotel can improve on these areas. Humidifier is provided in the room during my winter stay. Overall, I will be back to this hotel when I visit Beijing again.

Great location in the heart of Beijing

Great large room in the deluxe family room. Just like pictures. View of the Main Street was nice. Bathtub big for two. Bathroom the size of the room. Bed a bit hard for us. Problem I see is the tv channels.. only 1 English station.Hotel is 15min from forbidden city entrance. 5 min walk from Wangfujing shopping street. 15 min walk from metro station. Good location near restaurants and shopping.
