This hotel was perfect for our week in Beijing. Staff were always ready to help - nothing was too much. Bed was very comfortable and the pillow was so good it had me literally dreaming of ordering one to bring back to NZ! We would stay here again if back in Beijing - such good value for what it cost us.

the hotel is in central Beijing, which is convenient. However the facilities are out of date and worn out. The most terrible thing is their breakfast: I have been questionning whether this is a 5 star hotel: so few choices, all items are cold, worst of all it is the quality of the stir fried Chinese dishes. It is much much worse than a high street restaurant. It is rumoured that they will have a renovation. However, the question is: does the planned renovation affect the quality of the dishes and diversity of the breakfast? Also the booking via Expedia does not earn points, which no information is available when booking was made.

Overall we had a positive experience. The room was spacious and clean. I liked the bedding and the king size bed. Great bathroom with shower and a bathtub. However the room was dated. Old furnishing with marks of tear and wear and in need of updating. The western breakfast is monotonous and lacking in flavours. No option for oat milk and pastries are mediocre. Some very sweet cereal and bread with cold cuts was the daily offer. The chinese breakfast had more variety and only reoccurred every 3 days.
