“Fantastic communication from the outset. Easily found and right next door to The Mayflower public house so after a long journey there’s no further travelling to do to get an evening meal. Plenty of parking, very easy check in and an exceptional selection of produce supplied for breakfast next morning. Good heating system, great bed, powerful shower, all in all with all of the other attentions to detail a great stay, very highly recommended.”

“We paid a premium price for a very standard room. Double bed with hard pillows. Very dated in the decor and furnishings. I was disappointed with the whole experience. Set menu for the evening was very pricy and was underwhelming. Breakfast was what saved the day, nice ingredients, great selection. Staff were friendly.”

“The staff, especially Reception and a young blonde-haired lady who had only been there about 3 weeks were exceptional. Having the bar & the restaurant on the top floor is a bit odd, but it is comfortable. The food in the restaurant was very poor as was the quality of the wine. The gentleman acting as Maitre was brusque, untidy and unwelcoming. We booked our table for 7 and were prompt. But he wanted us to have courses in rapid succession.
