Suites Center Barcelona has a lot going for it, particularly if you’re looking for more space and the convenience of an apartment-style stay.
The apartment was very spacious, and the kitchenette was exceptionally well equipped with a large fridge, pots, pans, utensils, and essentially everything needed to prepare a meal. Check-in was straightforward, the building felt secure and well managed, and the shower pressure was fantastic after long days exploring Barcelona.
A major bonus is the connection with Hotel Casa Fuster, which provides access to their amenities and a direct line to the front desk. We really appreciated the added convenience and service.
Unfortunately, there were a few maintenance issues. The washing machine handle was broken, requiring us to use a spoon to open it, and the dryer function didn’t work. The biggest issue, however, was the bed. The queen mattress in the larger bedroom was extremely firm—honestly, it felt like sleeping on plywood—and was well below the comfort level we’d expect from a four-star property. We ultimately slept on the pull-out sofa instead.
This had a significant impact on our stay. These were the final two nights of a two-week trip, and both were disrupted by poor sleep due to the uncomfortable mattress, which was a major disappointment.
Overall, the apartment has excellent potential. With some attention to maintenance and, most importantly, a replacement mattress, it could be a very good option for a longer stay in Barcelona.
