The hotel looks average from the exterior but is wonderful inside the rooms. Everything is modern and comfortable. Close to the main part of Banff, walk or take the bus, you get free bus tickets at check in. Check in is at the Canoe hotel across the street

I love this hotel. The room was a great size and so was the bathroom. Decor was gorgeous. My only negatives were the pillows and the shower. The pillows were very firm and the shower needed a deep clean.

Ok so you panic slightly when you see it from the outside but the rooms have been beautifully refurbished inside. Coffee with fresh milk was a nice touch and appreciated. Great location and access to the swimming pool was icing on the cake.

Stayed at a lot of different hotels in Banff over the years but the Dorothy is terrific. The rooms are spacious and clean, free parking on site, right off of Banff Ave so within walking distance of anything you need/want plus you have access to all the amenities at the hotel across the street. Loved it!

The location and the lodge both were great. Walking distance to everything and also bus stop was right there. There was a convenience shop right there which was great. The are part of Canoe m Hotels and suites which was right across. Amenities included swimming pool and gym.
