Bathrooms.could be cleaner and domes swept or have a broom in dome. Over all I enjoyed the dome. I just wanted the experience, only issue was cleanliness.

I think these new domes will be very popular. The views from and the spaciousness inside the dome is really nice.

Beds were comfortable in the domes, very peaceful and relaxing 😎 the hot tub was a bonus, and the view of the water was lovely, we had access to the bathroom and shower in the inn, and Jeff and crew were helpful with towels and anything else we inquired about :) highly recommend and we will be back!

We have a great night and this is our first glamping experience. Washroom and shower was not totally ready for the public but I understand that this place is still under construction. Wifi not able to reach to our Dome. View of this place is amazing. Looking forward to come back with fully equipped and all the construction is done.

The dome itself was beautiful, sleeping under the stars. The tv didn’t work at all, no internet available. The bathrooms were shared, with not enough available and completely disgusting. That is why the rating is low. Needs improvement in the bathroom big time!

Très décevant! Le gazon long, matériaux de construction qui traîne, pas d'eau dans le dôme, on se lève très tôt à cause du toit du dôme, trop cher pour ce qu'on a eu. Seulement 2 toilettes à l'extérieur et se salit des qu'on rentre avec nos souliers.

We loved our stay here, even though it is still somewhat under construction. The domes themselves are spacious and clean with a view over the lake (across the road). Wifi worked well, and dome had fridge, microwave and coffee maker. AC/heat unit was efficient and there was an extra heater "just in case" which we did not need. Communal bathrooms are new and clean and each stall includes a shower, toilet and sink. The skylight opening in very cool to see both the night sky and the morning sunshine. We were initially nervous when we pulled in because several domes are incomplete, but the ones that are finished are fantastic. The workers completing other domes are quiet and respectful.

The dome was fantastic, it even had a television, which was great for the evening and when it rained. It is a work in progress so be patient it is all about the dome. It had huge views. Jeff was outstanding. The showers broke down but they let us use a hotel room. The hot tub should be deleted. I recommend them, once they are completed the price will certainly rise.

Totally love the idea of this cute getaway but it wasn’t quite ready for us to stay and the pictures and descriptions are misleading. There is a highway between the domes and the waterfront and each dome has a designated bathroom shared by all the domes but not within the domes themselves. The bathrooms are a 3-4 minute walk up to the hill. The inside of the dome was very neat and clean but the wifi didn’t work. There is no water available in the dome so if you’re wanting to use the coffee maker, you need to bring your own water. Still enjoyed our experience but wished we would’ve known what we were getting for the price.

DO NOT BOOK HERE! My family had booked the the Baddeck Domes and were looking forward to a unique experience. We arrived at about 6pm after a long day of driving just to find out that they had overbooked their motel so they gave away our dome to someone who booked a different room. I was frustrated with this however i understand things happen so i said lets just process my refund and we will find another place to stay. The lady running the motel informed my that she could not do that without speaking with her manager. So she called her manager and they were not interested in giving me a refund and just kept asking her questions on why our room was given away. To me it was irrelevant as it was already done and they could sort that out later and i just wanted my money back. Finally her manager said they cant issue us our refund since we booked through Expedia (unsure if thats true) so i called expedia while i was still there so they could confirm that i did not have a room and they refused to answer the phone call from expedia to confirm this! Expedia tried to speak with them for over a week and they ignored them the entire time! Finally expedia did give me my money back since Baddeck Domes did not answer their calls. I am very happy i booked this through expedia to help me with this refund as i truly believe Baddeck domes was hoping to keep my payment for a night we didnt even get! We ended up at Cabot Trail Motel and they were very friendly and great food!

I was desperate to love this place. How cool to be able to stay in something like that? First, there was an issue with my reservation. So the owner wasn't really prepared for us. It looks like they are in full construction mode so the area wasn't as neat as could be. His workers had music playing next to our dome, but he addressed it when we texted. There should be a curtain for the door. We make a makeshift one. The tv was missing the remote. The owner addressed it quickly. Unfortunately the wifi didn't work to the dome, so no tv. There wasn't any water for the coffeemaker. And there was a surprise empty Mickie behind the microwave. Great to have these things but missing the mark about paper towel, napkins, plates, utensils. Maybe hand sanitizer since no sink or water. My problem was with the bathroom facilities. You have to go up to the main building to use the washroom. Ok, but if you really have to go, there wasn't anything else. It was also rainy so it was not convenient at all. The owner was great and very friendly, unfortunately not very prepared. Would we stay there again? No. Was it a cool experience? Yes. Would I recommend it? No and I feel sad about that.

I have never written a review like this and I take some responsibility for not having read recent reviews but this place was terrible. It is in the process of being built and not suitable for guests. Nice idea but location next to a very noisy highway and not on the water as described. The dome itself was large and bright but not very clean (other peoples rubbish under the bed and pillow cases left in the room). The plastic of the domes gave off fumes which aggravated my asthma. The pillows were terrible and the beds and bedding cheap and not good (foam that made you sweat immediately). No privacy at the door which is glass. Had to ask for towels and toilet paper. The toilet block is not complete and only two open. Both filthy and moldy (one had no vent and a dripping shower). There was a coffee machine but no cups. The hot tub was not complete and the swimming pool was an out of ground thing not much bigger than a paddling pool (but given the standard of hygiene elsewhere we did not go near it). The deck faced the toilet block and there were no chairs. We left after a night and requested a refund of our second night which the manager agreed to. He provided some helpful local advice. It just seemed this had not been properly thought through the description of the place as luxurious is completely misleading and the care taken over preparation of the place was non existent.

Two reviews when I booked. One 5-star and one 1-star. So I gambled. The idea is very nice: nice, charming domes... but the execution needed more planning. It's right by a very busy road with constant noise of cars, and the units are still not fully finished. My dome had NO LOCK and not shades on the door... The staff had good intentions but were very limited. The bathroom is shared and not the greatest. The inside of the domes is charming.

Check in was good. Inside the dome, it was good, But the amenities are not yet ready, bathrooms are new but not well maintained. It should be priced at $50/night. Not right for the price that was charged.

Well, the domes themselves are kind of cool and they are clean and functional but everything here is still a work in progress. At some point it will be finished but right now there are construction materials around and guys working but that will be done eventually. As a campsite it is pretty neat but think of it like a campsite - shared bathrooms and showers. The price is good and as I said the domes are pretty cool, the rest will come.

Les installations des dômes sont relativement récentes et l'espace a été bien pensé. Quelques petits éléments manquaient toutefois, comme des tables de chevet ou des patères pour accrocher nos vêtements. Cela dit, nous avons vraiment adoré notre séjour : les lits étaient d'un confort exceptionnel et d'une propreté irréprochable. Un très bel endroit, avec juste quelques petits ajustements à prévoir pour parfaire l'expérience !

Baddeck Domes will be great when they are finished. They are just not ready to receive people yet ie. no countertop on our cooking island; only 2 shared bathrooms (a little bit of a walk away) for the 5 or 6 domes that were rented out; no real parking spots (you just park on the uneven ground near your pod); no wi-fi; small questionably clean soft tub; small above ground pool; NO hot springs; NOT on the water; and more… but the worse part was the incredibly rude receptionist at check in.
