The staff were very friendly and helpful! However, the pool area was very dirty and had dead plants all around it, and the keypad to the pool was broken which made it difficult to use. The room was cozy, but the floors were not clean and the bathroom doors wouldn’t shut. The headboard on one of the beds was broken, and only one bed had a duvet. The hallway to our room smelled horribly and needs a good clean. Breakfast was delicious though, and it was within walking distance of everywhere we wanted to go.

Great location, Blanca the front desk clerk was great too. But the room smelled horribly of mold and who-knows-what-else. The property in general was in very bad shape. Pool was the main reason we booked it, but it was too dirty to swim in.

All staff was excellent, and I appreciated the available coffee! Overall I thought the price I paid ($497) for two nights was far too high for the quality of the hotel, and I have regrets about booking at La Quinta. I do understand that it was SXSW and prices are likely higher around that time.

The room was clean and the AC worked wonderfully but no where on the website does it state that parking INSIDE the property is not included. Apparently it is subsidized by the city and on the weekend it is $45 PER NIGHT. That is an insane surprise rate to pay and there is no free parking anywhere close by to make up for it.

In my reviews, I try to find the balance between being fair to both the property and the travelers. In this instance, I would not recommend this property because of the overall condition of the oroperty. It is run down and was not cleaned properly. The front desk lady that I dealt with was the one bright spot. She was friendly and efficient, but I will look elsewhere on my next trip.

By far the WORST hotel I’ve ever been at. The only redeemable thing about it was the staff. Fridge had mold and didn’t work, microwave was gross, paid for “valet parking” but had to still park my truck myself, the parking spaces were too small for even a car. I bought a deluxe hotel and the pictures show a large area with a couch but the only upgrade was the fridge, which didn’t work, and the microwave, which was disgusting. WiFi never worked. The drawers in the room were falling apart. The staff was nice at least. If I could give 0 stars, I would.

Elevators were stopping between floors and making a loud noise noises. Mould in the rooms. Most surfaces as you enter the building and in the lobby, where either so badly aged that they were deteriorating or it was a bit damaged. The valet area and the entry to the lobby are very dated. The security doors on the fourth floor are not working so anyone can walk in and out and it is relatively unsafe. The room conditions, including the bathrooms and the state of the actual walls and floors and fundamental basics are all either old or dilapidated. The staff are nice.

First room I got the toilet did not flush properly, the a/c would not cool leaving the room at 78, and the fridge did not work. The second room floor was dirty left the bottom of our feet black, light in the bathroom was literally a wire with a bulb hanging from the ceiling as if the room was not finished being renovated. The light by the bed was hanging from wall and missing lamp shade and the door would not close without a considerable amount of effort. Property is definitely dated which wouldn’t be a big deal but it’s also poorly maintained. Kind of falling apart. Staff was kind and helpful and promptly switched rooms for us when notified. Location is great! Like many ppl said in other reviews I thought that for the price and location that it would be ok if the rooms were dated and the had minimal upgrades but I was wrong. The condition of this hotel is really unacceptable. Maybe the rooms I had weren’t the best they had but they definitely need to do repairs and renovations. TLDR. Rooms are very dated and poorly maintained. Basically falling apart. A/c issues, toilet issues, dirty, fridge not working, and in state of disarray. Staff is kind and helpful Great location and great price. You have to pay for parking like 45$
