Absolutely beautiful property, very quiet neighbourhood but very close to all of the best shopping and restaurants by walk. Would highly recommend for anyone wanting to be in a great area but also wanting peace and tranquility of a small boutique space. Really nice upscale. Downtown Athens itself is kind of dumpy, but this is a nice touch in the middle of it. Very high-end. The roms are super thoughtfully decorated. There’s a lot of things for sale in the room at pretty pricey numbers, but very hard to beat the atmosphere they create. Breakfast is served individually either in your room or on the rooftop so the service is impeccable.

A beautiful, thoughtful art boutique hotel experience. We loved finding all of the unique touches in our room. Loved the bathtub, rain shower, outdoor patio and rooftop breakfast. Or meals were filling and delicious. The team was excellent and on top of arranging transportation to the port and airport. We make it a point to stay in art hotels and Shila was top tier.

Funky place

Interesting place. Very funky vibe. It was a nice place but the funkiness made it a bit uncomfortable. No where to put luggage. The shower was odd. A bathtub with a pipe over it that had water spray all over the place. There wasn’t a closet, only a clothing rack that had “clothing for sale” hanging on it. There was a beautiful courtyard and the breakfast was really good. Its worth a stay just to check the place out.

The best hotel in Athens.

To say that Shila is an amazing hotel does not feel like enough. It is full of the warmth, authenticity, and comfort you feel when visiting a friend after a long time. The aesthetics and hospitality are unmatched in Athens. It’s decor and amenities encourage you to enjoy each moment with total relaxation and intentionality. The staff are mindful and kind and truly anticipate your needs — it is a true feeling of luxury. Stay as long as you can.
