“This is the third Hoshino Resort experience. Expectation was there given the price point this chain is charging compared to other chains. Hoshino always attempts to impress with its settings, however, the garden pool does not show as advertised this time (not certain if they only have the floating lanterns or what during certain season).

“This was an amazing experience, staying in a renovated samurai home. I stayed in the larger suite and had a full view of the garden and a lanterned alcove just outside the bath. Everything is new and clean, and the owners clearly take pride in this historic home. Even the tatami seams are artful.
