“Hotel was excellent. Tucked away in nature looking over the lagoon and a 5 min walk away from a quiet beach. The staff were lovely and very attentive. Room was clean and very large with a balcony looking out over the pool. Breakfast was tasty and the restaurant served a great dinner. The beach has turtles nesting and hatching at night time. Would come back!”

“La estancia en Lankavatara fue espectacular. El hotel se encuentra en medio de una playa virgen rodeada de naturaleza. El servicio de todo el stuff fue simplemente excepcional, son la esencia de este hotel. En especial nuestro camarero Malshan se encargó de que todo fuese perfecto. Nos hicieron una cena romántica en la playa sin coste extra, nos llevaban las bebidas a la hamaca, siempre con mucha servicialidad. Suelen tener este tipo de detalles. Las habitaciones muy modernas y bien equipadas....

We booked this place last minute due to having to change our original plan (Kandy & Ella) because of the recent Cyclone. Although Lagoon Gate can appear a little isolated it is an absolute gem as you are in and amongst nature & right on the Lagoons edge.
