They are in the process of remodeling the hotel and so far the rooms are very well done and very clean. Only downside is the surrounding area is less than desirable and food and restaurants are scarce in the area. It does look like the area is developing and looks to improve in the future. Overall hotel rooms and staff are very good.

The hotel room was very clean, it looked like a nice cute cabin-like room. The hotel staff was very nice and accommodating. It just doesn't have an elevator but they helped me with my bags up and down the stairs.

Our room was wonderful and the staff was also very nice and accommodating. Beds were very comfy and nice pillows! Microwave and mini fridge were a nice touch. They're renovating the building, so it's a bit of a construction work in progress, but I'd stay there again.

Good parking. Stayed here x 2 in one week at the beginning and end of our trip. Outside appeared to be still under construction in back or at least being updated. Lobby was clean...and both times our front desk staff was above and beyond being friendly and helpful. Does not have an elevator. Rooms were very nice...looked recently constructed or remodeled..very nice bathroom with shampoo, shower gel and conditioner. Our room was near highway/street but still slept good. No airport shuttle but UBER and taxi available

This is a new property. The room was very clean and spacious. They had cute decorations and the bed was very comfortable. The staff were so helpful, carried our luggage to our room as there is not an elevator. Staff also helped us with finding transportation. Loved this space.

In the last couple months the hotel has been completely redone. The new ownership is determined to make this a great hotel. It is new inside and out. Felt and looks like a brand new hotel. As an example, it has all new top quality Pella brand windows. The new beds were wonderful. It was a great deal for the money. Someone is at the desk 24/7. We stayed for one night. This is because we thought it would be nice to see Anchorage for one day before we flew out after our cruise. The staff kept our luggage safe all day long. Mike at the desk was exceptional and very thoughtful.

Visually appealing fresh renovation. Though some things done cheap - like shower doors were installed uneven and are sliding open. The sheets are too small for the bed and are constantly slipping in. Mattresses are too soft for our liking. The stuff was welcoming and friendly. A lady went up to our room to warn about headlights left on in the car which was nice. Note that no cleaning is done automatically, but they'll change towels and take out trash on request. Everything in the city is within 15 minutes commute.

From the moment I walked in the door, the staff were very welcoming. I didn't realize until after I'd made the reservation the property does not have an elevator. Having recently recovered from a broken ankle, I had concerns. Before I could say a word, I was offered assistance up the stairs with my suitcase. I was so grateful!! The rooms aren't super fancy, but they're very fresh and clean, with a very nicely appointed bathroom. I would definitely recommend this property, and I would stay here again.

Looks like they are renovating on the outside. Inside the building was clean. We started on the lower level close to the stairs. The lower level was very dark within the hallway. We had to use the light on our phone to punch in the numbers to the keypad to enter the room. When I pushed the first number, the door opened because it was never shut all the way. Inside the room was top-notch. Very clean with everything we needed. Walls are very thin. You could hear TVs and people talking all through the night. On our second night sounded like someone drunk outside of our door maybe trying to figure out which door was theirs? Bed was soft, but comfortable we noticed there are baseboard heating/possibly air? But we were never able to locate any thermostats within the unit.

Great stay with rare A/C, but beware of the stairs. Make sure you know which location you are booking, as there are two Highliner hotels nearby. We stayed at the one with free parking and had a great experience. We booked a Queen Suite with two queen beds. The room was very comfortable, exceptionally clean, and featured nicely updated bathrooms. We stayed at 441 E 15th Ave, Anchorage, AK, 99501 The highlight for us was the air conditioning—yes, actual A/C in Alaska! We traveled during the second week of August when it was quite warm out, and the room retained a lot of that heat at night. The A/C was a lifesaver for cooling things down and providing the white noise we are used to back home. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our stay. For breakfast, they provide a simple grab-and-go setup with granola bars, muffins, apples, oranges, and cold bottled water, which was perfect for grabbing before heading out. The one major heads-up for future guests: this hotel does not have elevators. We had to lug our baggage up a flight of stairs. It was fine for us, but if you have someone in your group who cannot climb stairs, you will definitely want to keep that in mind!

A well done remodeled property. Everything in the room was new, clean and comfortable. The only zonks for me are no elevator and no AC. When I arrived it was a warm day and could have used a little AC however, when the night came it cooled off nicely and the hotel fan was more than adequate. I got a great night's rest.

This hotel was under construction when we checked in . But the staffs were extremely helpful in everything. There is no elevator in the property but the staffs helped us carrying up & down our luggages . They even helped us loading our car . The rooms were very clean and the staffs made sure we had everything we need for our stay . Our special thanks goes to Mike & Amanda who made our stay very comfortable & memorable also .
