Lovely hotel, full of character and charm with the most friendliest and helpful of staff. Excellent location in the centre of the city close to the major sights and attractions. Good amenities in room and very quiet. Enjoyed delicious breakfast and evening meal in Jansz restaurant and found the Garden relaxing and the Pulitzer Bar very atmospheric and a lovely way to end the day, both of which are used by locals too. Very kind touch with card and treats given on the occasion of my birthday by the hotel. Have stayed here several times before and cannot wait to return.

Great location. If you get a nice room, it's wonderful. Our first night was in a room off the lobby and on street level.Very loud but hotel was kind and was able to move us next night. Hptel has nice bar. Good restaurants. Friendly staff.

Five star hotel, other than the fact that it is very confusing to navigate, and even when you get to your floor, you still have to climb multiple staircases to get to your room in some instances. Even with signage, we got lost multiple times and couldn’t figure out where the alternative exits were until the end of our day. On the upside, the room was large for European room as was the bathroom. The amenities, including the umbrella and tote bag made a nice souvenir, and the concierge couldn’t have been more helpful. Location can’t be beat. Convenient to canals, Jordaan and Museumplein.
