Pros -lively-but-laid back location -Easy check in -relatively clean -free morning coffee Cons -Bathroom door didn’t close all the way -Don’t stay here with someone you don’t want to see nude…the two-way glass seemed to be installed in reverse. You can’t see anything from the shower, but everyone in the room can see you from outside. Could be a bit awkward for some. -Very tight quarters, especially for families who need a crib. Overall, we don’t regret booking a room here. It’s a solid 7/10 for us.

Do not choose the room below the street level. Awful small rooms with literally no privacy if you are sharing the rooms. They also forget to clean rooms. Front desk staff is friendly and helpful. Hotel is very close to last stop for Bus 397 going from Airport to City.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. Any issues that arose were sorted quickly, our experience with the Melrose staff was pleasant. However, the bathroom was see through, and completely visible for the entire hotel room. The glass walls didn't block out much sound or visual from the toilet area and shower. Anyone lounging in the room could see into both the shower and the toilet area. This caused unpleasantries as with multiple people sharing the hotel room, they had to exit the room every time anyone wanted to use the facilities in private - including not being seen while showering. Overall, our stay was great, the staff was warm and welcoming, but the overall setup of the hotel room was unsatisfactory.

Good location. Generally quite ok. Air con works well. Bad: Pillows were pretty bad. Bathroom smelled like sewage each time you first shower then the smell kind of goes away. Never refilled tissues or teas despite them being used up.
