Overall fairly decent hotel Great location, room was satisfactory quality for price, cleaning was acceptable, staff were nice and kind - fine for a short stay. Did have an issue with a lot of flies coming into the room on one of the nights where the weather was hot and TV wasn't always working well.

The staff were all friendly and welcoming and very helpful with local knowledge. The bars and restaurants nearby were exceptional and welcoming. Tram service to central Amsterdam was a 5 minute walk away. We will be visiting again.

Stayed 6 nights in peak summertime, top floor rooms (deluxe) have AC but they struggle to keep the room cool. Other rooms only have fans. Bathroom had sewer gas/grease trap gas coming into the room. Lift is tiny and slow and usually stinks. AC in the room after day 3 of my stay ended up dripping water on the floor. Hotels in Oud West part of Amsterdam are hard to find so but this area is a great location. This hotel doesn't offer key cards for guests, so instead you must use a web app to unlock the ground floor door and supposedly the room door but the room door always required me to enter a 9 digit number to get into the room. That got old real fast. Would not stay here again.
