Spark by Hilton Amarillo East was the absolute bargain of our 5,000-mile road trip in late July and August 2026. For $84, including taxes, for the night, it just cannot be beat. Because of the low price, I was a bit apprehensive about the unknown quality of the room that we would experience when I booked it, but because the Hilton name is attached to it, I felt it was well worth the "risk." As it turns out, there was absolutely no risk at all. Hilton has created an ideal business model with the Spark hotels that are being established at or near this price point, dependent on location. The very modern, upbeat, and youthful vibe of the hotel was strongly appealing to even us "elderly" senior citizens. The room was a little smaller than in some other hotels, but not the least restrictive or uncomfortable. All amenities and facilities throughout were superb. The king-size bed and pillows were excellent. The room was immaculate. The entire facility was immaculate. Everyone on the staff was friendly, polite, and professional. Spark by Hilton is the name we will look for whenever we travel in the future.
