“The property is 400 yrs old so expect things to be uneven. The current owners have only been there a few years so maybe they still have work to do. The bedrooms are described on the website as "stylish "....I would say plain. The bedding was clean, bathroom ok but it was difficult to get the shower to the right temperature...it was either boiling or cold. Room 5 had a frosted window but it was hot so we had it open. The room could do with a slight update....e.g. more plug sockets and a bigger...

“lift was out of orderc and had been for months they expected me to carry bags up to 4th floor and didn't offer to help. Restaurant was closed and no bar room was shabby with broken window whole place was very neglected Absolutely not worth the money”

“Reception staff fairly friendly bar staff not so we waited over 10 mins for a member of staff no show so I went to reception we’re both the reception lady and the lady from the bar were just casually chatting and no apology for keeping us waiting”

“Learnt something new about IHG hotels. Not all are equipped with refrigerator. I had to request one (almost checked out the next day) since I had baby milk and medication that requires one. They refused at first but I guess they had a rethink. I do not recommend for families who absolutely need a fridge.”
