“Lovely room however the large radiators were belting out high heat all the time and they could not be turned off in your room, the temperature was like a sauna. A fan was provided but hardly took the edge off the sweltering temperature. The windows could not be unlocked so no air in the room. Such a shame or it would have been perfect.”

“The Coach House room 43 is very pretty, perfect for a romantic getaway. Good breakfast, plenty of choice. Staff polite. Grounds well kept. Some areas of cleaning need attention, stained upholstery and mould around bottom of shower let the room down a bit but overall this did not spoil my stay.”

“This is a little gem of an inn. The drive along the way is picturesque and Otterburn itself is darling. Our host for the Old Post Office was very accommodating. We arrived after the normal check-in time and she was very welcoming. Our room was immaculate and our shower had lots of hot water. Breakfast was excellent, including our coffees (flat white and vanilla latte). We also enjoyed the back patio area with plenty of seating. Definitely recommend this inn!”

“I stayed in the dog friendly room which was ok but not great. The carpets were stained and when we first walked in the room we could smell dog it wasn't a fresh smell. There was a half used toilet roll in our bathroom and no fan so it steamed up quite quickly. The room was at the bottom of the beer garden so was very noisy which wasn't that much of a problem. “We were a family of 3 plus a cockapoo staying in The Tweed. The room was perfect for us. Loved the decor and attention to detail. It was nice to sit in the sun in the morning in the little garden with a coffee and listen to the birds. We had dinner and breakfast in the pub. The food was ok but the service could have been better. We booked in advance and were seated straight away but we found nobody came over to ask if we wanted drinks and we ended up having to stand in the queue at the bar....

“Good well run hotel with only a few minor niggles. The soap dispenser at the sink was empty and its replacement didn't work.”

“The property is in a lovely setting and as the sun was shining we enjoyed an evening glass of wine on the patio looking over the gardens and tipi. The restaurant, public areas and the bedrooms were all pristine and food of a great standard, when in the area we would definitely stay again.”

“Room was great with a comfortable bed. No air-conditioning so hot in the night. A fan was provided. Great shower. Breakfast buffet was basic and had to ask for restock as staff not on top of it. Full English breakfast looked OK. This is a pub as well with a predictable menu if you have visited any in the chain. OK for some but not for us. Would stay again just for the room and location. Parking on street or in nearby car park.”
